I love the 3ANC’s. Just wish I didn’t look like a bot when wearing them. Never really liked Sony before but the 05’s have become my go-to buds for now.

Another good comparison Ron. I really enjoy using my Between 3ANC every time I use them. I have other solid earbuds as well but they’re easily my favorite right now

Thank you for this comparison between two of my most favored buds, Both reside in mt top five, with the 3ANC's given a very slight edge in sound quality.. For bassheads, the 3ANC's are bass cannons imho, especially considering the great bassists of our time. Status tuned the heck out of these triple drivers and it shows. Clarity of vocals and instrument separation also major pluses. Cant go wrong with either pair.. Its all about the sound!!!! Great review sir!

This is the video I need. These are the 2 I cant make up my mind to. This is gonna help for sure. I want super bass like a huge system and I want loud and atleast decent anc. I want a car system with 2 15 inch subs in my ears.

I have them both also the beats fit pro ans samsung buds pro 2 and none is better in overall sound quality or anc as sony 1000xm5

I agree when you compare the ANC of these earbuds. But I disagree when it comes to sound. The 3ANCs sound better than the XM5s. And the XM5s are one of my favorites to wear.

Just ran across this. Nicely done. However, when you did the sound test you said you were playing "Old Money" by Lana Del Ray but the track playing is actually "Fifth Avenue" by Phury. You should let us hear the actual tracks your playing. Other than that on point. I love my Status 3ANC and Momentum TW4's

I had that as background sound to cover dead areas in the video. I have since stopped using that.

Great review Ron I own both earbuds and rate the Status Between 3ANC better in sound quality by a small margin, most likely due to the triple drivers Sony ANC and Sony App are better

3 speakers are cool and all for the 3ANC but based on the comments for distortion at mid and high volume with noise cancelling, and owning a pair of xm4 (best earbuds I have ever purchased,) I'm leaning towards the xm5's. the price difference might play some role in the speaker responses

The XM5s are a great choice. I haven't experienced any distortion with my 3ANCs.Then again, I don't listen to any earbuds at max volume.

@@ronontech ah well I'm a music enthusiast, I have two 1750w sundown 12s in my honda. & the app for the 4's has it's own EQ settings seperate from the music app I use so I go pretty heavy on the bass

I wonder if the absence of codecs (Aptx, LDAC, etc) would compromise at all the sound quality of the 3ANC.

I returned the 3anc because sound distortion at high volumes when anc turned on

I had mine at max volume several times with ANC on and didn't hear any distortion. Sorry your pair had issues. What are you rocking now?

@@ronontech Ron, i did the test in the gym mo day night. There was plenty of people! I used my 3 anc with and without ANC. Yes with anc turned on you have a little bit of distortion in the bass and mids section at max volume. BUT, when i tried with anc turned off, no more distortion!!! Sounds better without anc. The best part is that i only heard my music with or without anc at max volume. They sound so loud that no needs for anc in the gym, and better sound quality :)

Hey Ron, did you enable LDAC codac in Sony app before doing the test or was it on the default codec settings?

I cleaned my wf1000xm4 with an iso wipe and now they aren't working properly. Sony says it's cosmetic and won't warranty them. What's the point of being ipx4 rated then? What are your thoughts on these?

Exactly. I don't need the bass maxed out. It gets distorted. At that level, the bass hits hard but sounds clean.
