About sinduli gadi war, the gorkha army used natural way to win. They used to have aarna bull , hive of yellow hornet and scorpion prepared since they didn't have modernized equipment to fight. It is so amazing to hear, i read it in my school book , proud to be nepali 🇳🇵

My grandfather from dad side is a British army and my grandfather from mom side is an Indian Army and also my brother in law is an Indian army. It was not 1923 that British recognized Nepal's independence. When Jung Bdr Rana helped the British to quash the rebellion, the British agreed to return back land they had seized after Sugauli treaty. This was sufficient to confirm Nepal's sovereignty. And can you imagine Jung Bdr also successfully built the "boundary pillars " at that time all along Nepal-India border. This was a feat comparable to building the GREAT CHINA WALL to safeguard territory from the enemies.

Quick correction, Nepal was in existence long before Britishers arrived in the Indian sub-continent. Back in those days only Kathmandu was called "Nepal". Newari people are the natives of Kathmandu and their language is called 'Nepal bhasa', it's different from Nepali language. Nepali language back in those days was called 'Khas bhasa'.

One of the reason of "Jung Bahadur Rana" favouring britain was that because at one time Garhwal's king partnered with Britishers to remove Gorkha rule from uttarakhand. After that winning half of Garhwal came under Britishers which was known as "Company Garhwal".
