i just want to thank you for such a detailed steps and explanation. I've been doing this gauss jordan for a whole week and after watching your video for the 5th time, I finally get it. you're such a great teacher. So thank you once again

i cant continue watching without complementing you MR, your clearity in both explanation and writing ..i am so amazed and i belief you are one of the standard channels we should follow especially we the Africans..we love to see more videos..i just love you after watching your video, however, i end by saying your codes " never stop learning those who stop learning has stop sleeping"

You explained Gauss Jordan elimination, or tri-diagonalization of a matrix very nicely. GJ elimination is how most computer programs reduce a set of linear equations. Once you do things this way, you will never go back to doing substitution again ... well, except for 2x2 matrices. Then, the Cramer rule is probably faster.

I was solving system of linear equations in following way 1. Check if system of equations has solution (we call it Kronecker - Capelli theorem) Rank of coefficients matrix must be equal to the rank of augmented matrix 2. Reduce system of equations to the Cramer form (From coefficient matrix choose submatrix rxr with r linearly independent rows, where r is the rank of A free variables move to the column vector) 3. Solve system of equations in the Cramer form your favourite way such as Cramer's rule (with determinants) xor left multiplying by matrix inverse

... Good day to you Newton, I can see you're doing well. Good presentation in which it is nice to see that 3 given planes in R3 intersect in one unique point (-1, 2, 1) ... ( A CONSISTENT and INDEPENDENT system of linear equations ) ... Thank you again my friend Newton and take good care, Jan-W

Good to hear from you. Your comment just pushed me to review some multivariable calculus about intersection of planes and my discovery is also interesting. Hope you're doing well , my friend. Regards.
