Hardik is injury prone & He is 30 if Rohit plays till 2027wc then there's no meaning in keeping Hardik for VC role here a youngster could be groomed... In t20I they hv chosen their no. 1 t20 batter Surya who has a calm demeanor But hardik has some attitude problem which i guess Gautam Gambhir can't manage... Mere pyaare Gambhir … that’s because Virat excelled in that series and he was rewarded for the same.. secondly in that series he had given a statement after his knock against SL in Hobart.. that he is your future captain.. and exactly after 2 yrs Virat became captain coz Dhoni knew he needs to be groomed.. Gambhir couldnt even secure his spot in playing 11 even for a year thereafter. So, in the hindsight, it was a correct decision.
