Gave birth at the best government hospital in Johannesburg,Parktown!

I guess it’s different strokes for different folks…I had experience on both institutions and hell no!… I ain’t going back to a public hospital it was the worst….Glad ur was different 🥰❤️

My experience at that hospital is the total opposite of everything you said. I couldn't even get help last night at 2am with a medical emergency. They literally kicked me out and sent me to hilbrow clinic, the worst of them all. So here's my experience of giving birth at Charlotte Maxeke. I got stitched 3 hours after a natural birth delivery. The most painful experience of my life. My vg was already cold by this time, you can only imagine the pain. All that because the nurse who delivered my baby was in a hurry to knock off. When my partner came for his 1st visit to see the baby, he found me on a bed full of blood, mind you it had been hours since I gave birth. I laid there on a bed stained with blood from when I gave birth. I only got the chance to shower when he came because he could stay with the baby. Took the whole stuff two days to notice something was wrong with my baby, even after I tried so hard to alert them of the baby's condition. I remember them saying I'm over reacting, the baby is fine. Meanwhile, the baby is not breathing properly and wouldn't stop crying. I remember them shooting tiktok videos. They did nothing even when another lady in the ward sprayed perfume inside the ward with my baby next to her, which elevated the baby's breathing difficulties. They only realised that I was right in the morning after two days, the day I was supposed to be discharged, only when my baby got even worse. Everything happened so fast, they were running around with my baby calling doctors and when the doctors got there it was like a nightmare hearing my baby crying in pain, surrounded by doctors while I didn't know what to do but cry. It was just a mess there. And oh, my baby didn't make it.
