This song was written for the 18 year old festival. You should check that version of we are. It's about becoming an adult and leaving childishness aside. It's when the voting age came down to 18. It is an amazing version of it.

It's very common to mix a few english words into japanese songs, but OOR sings mostly in english (at least since 2015, when they've decided to invest more in the US market). But even in "The beggining" from 2012 we see great part of the song in english. There are also different versions of songs with different lyrics. As an example, "Vandalize" has a lighter version where curse words were changed - the original is a bit heavier and has really nothing to do with the Sonic Frontiers stuff...

Until recently, Japanese artists had a language barrier and the Japanese domestic market was too big, so they were not actively selling overseas, so most of the artists are not known outside of Japan, so there are still great finds.
