It’s almost like he was trying to combine everything he loved about performing, as if he knew there might not be another performance. He interacted with the audience, mentioned hair, encouraged the singers, and gathered everyone to dance together. This performance almost reads as a goodbye. Rest in peace Gavin Creel 💚

I saw Gavin in Into the Woods a couple years ago and I instantly fell in love with him. He was such a huge inspiration to me and so many others. I also just saw Mamma Mia for the first time over the summer, and I became obsessed with it- I’m performing The Winner Takes It All at an event at the community theater I’m a part of this weekend. I had no clue that this crossover had happened, but it’s bringing me so much light in the news of Gavin’s passing. He truly was the greatest

This is so haunting to watch, especially considering that it very well was likely to be his last ever public performance, though no one knew of it at the time (I think that maybe not even Gavin himself knew if it would be his last performance or not). There’s almost nothing here to suggest that he was going through what he would go through later. He certainly doesn’t look or act or feel sick at all, in any way. Strange how some cancers are just so asymptomatic or barely or mildly symptomatic that no one knows that they have gotten it until much later. God, fuck cancer. I hate it. HATE it. First it took Marin, now it has taken Gavin. Fuck, man, why does it have to take all of the good ones away from us?

I will never forget Wednesday, November 27, 2024 the date I found out that a REAL SUPERSTAR, my FAVORITE ELDER PRICE a.k.a Gavin Creel has passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024. I believe it was 1PM or almost when I saw Gavin Creel face and name on the post of PinkNews. I honestly remember his face and Name BUT I DID NOT READ the captions and the link's headline. I smiled and mentioned his name BUT when I read the link's headline, Pinknews :" Memorial for Broadway star Gavin Creel to be live-streamed in UK and US" I was in shocked But my face did not react or wrigkle my forehead, now I read the caption " The late star died aged 48." in few minutes I think I was in shocked but calm. Went on youtube to look for news and saw those videos. I did not count how many videos I watched when I started to become emotional and cried. Maybe to the video where the presenter mentioned Gavin Creel's Broadway and West End credits and mentioned "The Book of Mormon", because that's the only Musical I know he is in (I don't watch theatre musical videos. I'm not in to musical theatre BUT I'm thinking to discover more about musical because of Gavin Creel.) or I discovered him. Honestly I did not follow his theatre musical journey after watching him on youtube BUT I never forget his face and name! Just the role "Elder Price"!!! I have a crush on him, now I regret not watching him on youtube videos his interviews back then. For days I have been crying and crying regreting not following his Broadway Journey and learning more about him earlier. Last night Philippines Standard time I watched a youtube video of him with some of his scenes on the movie "Eloise"( few days ago when I saw it but did not watch it completely just last night. Did not know he has a Christmas movie with Julie Andrews.) He is very handsome and charming on that movie! I cried like he is my ex-Boyfriend who I just discovered his passing and I still love him 🤣 like that. seriousely I'm still broken hearted knowing that I cannot have that opportunity to see him on musicals, meet and have pictures with him. 💔💔💔😢😢 Gavin Creel, you are my favorite Elder Price! ❤️❤️❤️ 😢😢
