This is such a great story, we had the pleasure of seeing Gavin play the wolf and prince in Into the Woods recently, absolute genius and great to know he was generous with you and your friends

Thank you for your story. I’ve been in tears on and off since hearing this afternoon. Trying to work in between. I just feel so much love for this gentle soul. Saw him a couple times. But more on You Tube. And in interviews. He was the real deal. Thanks for affirming that. ❤️

Mateo, your story is fantastic. What a great human Gavin was. I got out my Playbills and was surprised I had seen him five times on Broadway, starting with Hair, where he was an exceptional stand out amongst an exceptional cast. I feel lucky to have experienced his talent, and am very sad at today’s news. A massive loss to the Broadway family and his many fans.

Beautiful heartfelt tribute to a great performer with an equally great heart and spirit of generosity. saw him as the Prince in Into the Woods and he was spectacular in every way.

Thank you for this. I saw him about a year ago in "Walk on Through, Confessions of a Museum Virgin", which he wrote and performed in. An absolute master class. Burned into my memory and will be forever grateful. An amazing human.

I also saw him in the Book of Mormon in LA, and donated to BCEFA so I could get a picture with him and Jared Gertner. He was beyond spectacular in the role and so sweet in person to fans. I am so grateful I had the opportunity to see him live. So much more amazing stuff he could have done.

This is so nice to hear. I also saw him in Book of Mormon in Toronto and I've always thought about how lucky I was. I was just thinking about him yesterday because "It Only Takes a Moment" from Hello Dolly was in a playlist I was listening to. And I started thinking about all of the great roles he's had and I hadn't thought about him in MONTHS and the next day we get this news... it's just total whiplash and I'm so sad.

This is so sad; he really was a great talent, and I expected him to be around a lot longer. I'm glad he was genuinely a nice guy because that's always the way he came across.
