True, I wouldn't mind another year of Lux. BUT, if they can trade for more international "money" to get Roki it might be worth trading him! And resigning Kike for another position player in case someone goes down during the season.

Again, I agree with DMAC's take on Lux. We, as fans, really do undervalue his worth. But personally, I think he might need a change of scenery for him to click. And that might not be with the Dodgers, unfortunately. Between the 2 reported teams that are interested in Lux, I'd take the Mariners over the Yankees for 2 obvious reasons, 1.) Why help the Yankees? Fr and 2.) Mariners have more to offer that we need and we'll take over what the Yankees can offer. From players to prospects. Edman in the infield (esp. at SS) is better than him being in CF (even if can field). I think, as well as many others, prefer to move another certain player that Taylors to more than 1 position and can make space to sign say another Hernandez. Moving to the Kim Hye Seong signing, DMAC... I think this signing is part of a bigger plan that'll come to fruit in about 3-4 years. The fact that he's so versatile is what is magical. And yes, I dont think he's gonna shine right away but the little things that most people dont give some of these players credit for, can and will be a difference maker. But back to the bigger plan, Kim Do Yeong. If, for whatever reason, we dont extend Muncy after picking up his club option for the '26 season, we wait (or sign/trade short term) 1 maybe 2 years... Watch.

An Anthony Volpe/Gavin Lux middle infield tandem could be an extremely effective pairing both on defense and offense in the Bronx for years. If the Dodgers are going to make their WS rivals stronger, they better be getting some absolute young diamond studs in return. Us fans have been waiting for Lux to meet his potential for years. It would be disappointing to have it come with another team. EDIT - Wrote too soon: Looks like we’ll have to watch if Lux turns a corner from afar in Cincinnati.

There is no need to get a designated closer type pitcher. It’s never worked in recent year for the Dodgers. Jansen might have caused the Dodgers other WS championships. Just takes up another roster spot. Closer by committee is better. With Ohtani, he may be able to close out games and the same for Phillips, Treinen and Kopech. That’s 4 guys. More than enough.
