Hi! I'm a new viewer of your channel and so far I'm enjoying what I'm watching. Anyways, Sword Catcher by Cassandra Clare... Before I continue I have to state that this is my personal opinion and some people might not agree with me but I did not enjoy this book. I got this book while I was browsing Target last November/October and I was very disappointed with it as it was my first Cassie Clare book. It was super slow, took me literal months to finish, and I was complaining the entire time I was reading it and I have never reacted that strongly to a book before. Now, I do love the premise and the summary is what made me want to read it in the first place but... it was just- dull and dragged on. Like for a good majority of the book nothing happened. The most interesting parts (again my opinion) are when Connor (the Prince) and Lin (the Healer) interact and those are so few and far between that (for me) it's just not worth it. Wow... I'm sorry for this massively long comment :( I do have to say I am looking forward to watching some of your upcoming content! Have a good day/night.

The only book where I was like D: was the christmasaurus middle grades (because I love them) and seven mercies because I think it is super underrated! Early last year I moved houses (and cities) and I got rid of over 900 books. 😎😎 it was soooooo much easier to do the boxing/moving afterwards. 😂 I now barely own 100 books and I'm extremely happy with them. They look more organised and cleaner. Lol 😊❤ these days I prefer ebooks and audiobooks, anyway.

I'm sad you unhauled House of Salt and Sorrows without giving it a read. It's the only book that has scared me so bad I literally got chills, even reading it in broad daylight! I wish I could sell more on Pango. Their interface is so simple to list books! But it just seems like nobody shops there. I list the same books there and on Mercari, and they sell fast on Mercari but just sit in carts/baskets on Pango with no purchasing. Mercari has so many fees for buyers now so it just defies logic...

i would suggest looking at sold listings when selling your books to get a better gauge of how much to list it for as some of the ridiculous listings will be on for ages also if you don't like vinted have you tried depop good luck with the move

Moving stresses me out so much, I’ve never added unhauling books into the mix. Love that so many people find peace in letting go, but for me it’s a struggle. Plus, my husband and I are both readers as are our two kids, so even if I didn’t care for a book, I hesitate to get rid of it in case another reader in the house might like it better than me. I probably should take a more critical look at my shelves some time in the near future, but I just find comfort in being surrounded by books. Best of luck with all of the moving nonsense Gavin! If you’re getting rid of the ARC of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder I’d happily take it off your hands and pay for postage! Think I’m going to be filming my own big unhaul this weekend and it’s safe to say you’ve definitely motivated me! I use Vinted and I absolutely love it. Yeah, see if you can fund your move with those CC and Fourth Wing editions!! 💰💰 As someone who is currently trying to significantly unhaul a batch of books from my 3000+ book collection bc I am seriously running out of space, YES, life is too short to keep shit around you aren't interested in or didn't like. Reading tastes change, we change as readers, and sometimes a highly anticipated book turns out to be a real stinker (if I get a wild hair later, the library exists) - my current stuggle is that a good chunk of the books going out are old-ass lit theory books and what do you do with those?? LOL, I'm definitely not going to make money putting those on eBay and I think the Friends of the Public Library would hate me for making them do the disposal (I think they may need to go to the recycle center, where I can offload books to be pulped if I pull the covers off the hardcovers). I need to channel this ruthless unhaul energy ✨✨✨

You can check out all those books out from the Library. I've been actually really enjoying being able to check out books from the libarary without the need to committing to keeping the book. It also gives room for books you want to reread in the future if you do end up enjoying a book you've read. I'm going to try to read the House of Salt and Sorrow myself but I'm checking it out of the libarary because I'm realizing that I have a lot on my tbr on Storygraph *and* a I'm getting up there in my kindle where it's getting a bit overwhelming. So after the buddy read that I'm doing now and the one personal book, I'm going to keep reading books I already own on kindle before I go for more libary books unless my buddy read people decide to continue the Duskwalker Brides series, then I'll be going into that (The audiobook have been extreamly helpful in keeping me up and focus on stuff for now.)
