In my humble opinion, Les Miserables is absolutely worth it (no, the sewer chapter isn't nearly as bad as people make it seem). I was sobbing by the end of it just because I had spent so much time with the story. That being said, if you think the musical is boring, you might not have a good time with the book 😅

The Charmed love!!! I loved how you showed all of your replica items. Also Etsy is always a good place to get those kinds of items.

I still love my LV reverse monogram kislux clutch! It's versatile, fits a variety of items, and is definitely a workhorse! I think seeing it everywhere (like the LV speedy) is proof that it's already a classic.

I found the Atlas Six decent, gave it 3 ⭐️ It definitely isn’t as complex/confusing as it appears, just a bit and I think it was because of the writing not the plot itself 😅

"It" is my favourite Stephen King book, so I'm very excited for you to read it! In my opinion, none of the adaptations did it justice, but the 1990 miniseries is definitely better.

Oh no 😬 I found watership down sooooo boring!!! I really hope you enjoy it. Norwegian Wood is a huge skip. If misogyny where a book it would be this one. Would be interested to hear your thoughts though if you do get to it. I’m guessing that friend is not a reader 😕

I love the way you did this tour!! It's a lot more interesting when you give some info and background about some of the books, rather than just going through and reading the title for each one. It was very engaging 😺Your shelves are gorgeous!

2:11:28 when it says that there is a kid in the school mentioning that the rock is haunted, I can just imagine Chapman turning around and going to the Rock to see what's all about and finding the rat and David spilling the beans on the Animorphs right then and there

I mostly watched all of this to get to the book I read as a child but didn't remember the name of haha, thanks for your service :D (it was switched btw, I know you didn't like the ending but as a 12 year old that ending pulled the rug out from under me soooo bad, one of the scariest book I had ever read)

I read Book Lovers because I was told it was not like the other rom-com books. And maybe, for pages 1-3 when she's telling us that she's the girl in the movie who gets left. Then she becomes the generic girl who gets picked. The "banter" made me cringe. If I'd been with these two by the pool table I would have found an excuse to leave. Emily Henry is an automatic skip for me now.

I am reading Les Miserables now and I love and hate it. Hugo has amazing observations about the human psyche and society, and some parts of the story are generally engaging (i've never seen the musical or the film before), but AT LEAST a third of this book is just him yapping about the most random of shits, or random anecdotes about side characters that are not bad in and of itself but that don't really tell us anything new and are just way too long 😂 it is enjoyable but it definitely is a project read hahhaha

Hey Gavin, Happy 2025! I think Murakami is a brilliant author, but I found the way he treats women’s and girls’ bodies in his writing really disturbing. I had to DNF 1Q84 on like page 800… But I’ve never read Norwegian Wood, maybe it’s better. For now I’m sticking with his short stories.
