Oh man, Fate/Extra is so depressing. EVERYONE in that game has a better reason to fight than you do. Everytime your Servant speaks up to defend you, it rings hollow.

That's for the most part the point. They are aimless until close to the end then they find their reason also with who they are as a person. But 100% it's jarring seeing the servants defend this blank slate at first, particularly Tamamo. Idk why but when she does it it's a little more annoying. But I will admit she has some of the more funny insults

Hakuno is just a busted master. Went from no memories to upgrading his servant and using mystic codes/code casts to the same level and even better than the top tier masters Twice, Leo, Rin, Rani, and fking JULIUS of all people

@@Danny-mg1hu Only Last Encore and even then the situation is complicated, the real Hakuno only pops up in about 3 scenes across the entire show. The 'Hakuno' we follow through most of the show is, in actuality, revealed to be nothing more than a collection of negative emotions of all the other masters that won previous cycles of the Moon Cell Holy Grail War, made it to the Angelica Cage, and then were killed by Twice and Saver due to them not accepting Twice's proposition, using the frame of the real Hakuno (as she ends up dying at the start of the show) in order to create HAKUNO/Dead Face Hakuno. And in cause you're wondering why this show went for this complicated route of having Hakuno but not actually having Hakuno is due to Nasu wanted to create an Extra anime that appealed to everyone, both new Fate fans who never seen or played the EX games as well older fans of the EX series, and ultimately created a story that didn't appear to either side and, in my opinion, one of the worse Fate stories he's ever written on par with Septem and Agartha from FGO in terms of awfulness.

On the topic of stagnation, I think that it's true that most would not be done without a need, but like you said iddleness aka boredom gets you to innovate as well, so it's not exactly a black and white thing: A lot of people are simply curious and will start to look for answers if they don't have them. Sure for each specific thing maybe most won't. But it only really takes one to really look into it seriously. And the results of someone's random curiosity can't really be foreseen, especially when it's the cumulation of multiple persons shooting in the dark

I now need to see Gawain & Leo Vs…hmm🤔 what WOULD be a good match up actually? For these two specific. Any ideas anyone? Maybe Hercules & Illya. Tho maybe Gil & Kirei since you did make a comparison between Kirei and Leo. Wait I got it. Gawain & Leo Vs Diarmuid & Kayneth! Basically I'm trying to go for a theme here. So we have Two Servants who serve under Kings and had great loyalty to them. In turn they are also very loyal to their masters like they were kings.. Making the servants pretty similar to each other. Now we get their Masters which in same ways are similar too. They both come from very noble families. But they treat their Servants very differently. One seem to trust and stand shoulder to shoulder with him. Aka Leo. While the other is very distant from their Servants. Using standing behind or away from them.

@@ShiraFuyu2022 unlikely , gawain vs lancelot is iffy in general because lancelot sees gawain as a monster outside of numeral of the saint not to mention with it , also off parameters gawains better than artoria even without numeral so he should win pretty easily .

@ihsanandinugroho1092 your leaving out how lancelot also struggled against gawain after numeral ended and how when gawain fought him he wasn't fighting at full potential as seen in his death when he realises his mistakes, also to note lancelot didn't 'beat gawain' gawain left wounded to fight the battle of camlann to which he reminisces upon his death about how if he didn't get distracted and try to fight lancelot out of rage he could of saved his king and country . Also to mention saying diamurd performed equal to artoria isn't massively impressive comparatively to if he fought a living artoria, instead he fought a Heroic spirit of artoria who we know Is weaker as a Heroic spirit in her state with max seals and not using her noble phantasm. Also note gawain would have better dur and more armour than artoria without avalon and in her battle against diamurd so he has to work around that, your also ignoring that Leo and gawain together is probably top 5 most monstrous master servant duos in fate , gawain in every extra game is monstrous even when oftern out of sunlight.

@@joshcooper467 not as bad as others made it out to be. Tamamo’s main issue is that she’s a glass cannon but her magic attacks are insanely good.

@@zekromfusion6319 Oh yeah, once you learn the patterns and you use the right spells for the upcoming attack, she washes everyone! Though, if you haven't gotten it yet, seek out the Exorcist Blade mystic code for your character it's super good.
