I don't think straight people can ever really know what it's like to grow up gay. It was even harder when I was growing up in the 60s and 70s, without anything out there to tell me that I was OK or normal. At least now there are resources that exist, if you can find them, like KZbin. That doesn't make it any less confusing to grow up gay, but at least it's possible to come to terms with it sooner than it was when I was young. Thanks for this video, Wylie!

Thank you for this most articulate and well thought out video. It's still inconceivable to me that we have as much bullying as we do. We have come quite far in the relatively short period of time, but we have so far to go. I work with far too many children and teenagers who wish to hurt themselves or commit suicide, all because they have been judged guilty of being who they are. When I talk to the staff of schools or the parents in PTA meetings, the response I get is "That's just normal for boys and girls to pick on one another" we have a society that excess violence as the norm. Thank you again for giving me hope
