It would be nice if there were english subtitles for this interview for those of us that have not kept up with their Hebrew. However, great interview and I wish him luck. I would think that it would be almost impossible to be in an Orthodox community and be openly gay. You can live elsewhere in Israel: Haifa, TelAviv and live openly and heppy but in an Orthodox community I am not sure how he does it. Shalom to all.

It's very important for people to understand the agenda here. We have an English title with intermittent English comments. People who don't understand Hebrew may think that this Rabbi is recommending some kind of reformist ideology. He isn't. He specifically says one must abide by the laws of the Creator even if its difficult.
@PanditDayanand-mg8xs7 ай бұрын
The Leviticus verse in question is specifically talking about anal penetration between two men. If he doesn't do anal and doesn't engage in promiscuity or hookups or one-night stands, then he can still abide by the laws of the Creator.

This is an amazing video. As a university student, I am focusing on homosexuality in the Jewish community for an essay, and it is so beautiful to see a Rabbi who is taking a stand for the Jewish Homosexual community and trying to get them accepted in the Jewish community. There is a very high need for this, and I hope that the rest of the community can see and learn to accept homosexual Jews as Torah observant Jews as well.

Many blessings are in store for this orthodox rabbi. He is a human being like many others out there. Nobody should try to discriminate against gays and lesbians. The other thing is that most people need to respect other sexual orientation and to refrain themselves from making intimidating comments against gays and lesbians, especially in the Jewish community.

It might be lost in translation but description "Orthodox Homosexuals" like other discussions exploring the intersection between sexuality and religion makes it sound that the most important aspect of any gay person's identity is their sexual orientation. It would at least sound better if they were to say "Orthodox persons who are gay" . It's like referring to people of African descent as " The Blacks".

The underlying principle in Jewish thought states that every man is born with, both, a good and bad inclination. This, in itself, is not bad, nor is an abnormality. The problem, however, arises when one wishes to "cross over the line" and seeks to gratify his "evil inclination," based on the prototypical models of right and wrong in the Hebrew Bible. In the final analysis, it is man that decides how he is to act. Most men will, at some time in their lives, succumb to their "evil inclination," as it is written: "There is not a righteous man upon earth that does good and sins not" (Ecclesiastes 7,20). For this reason, repentance (and in some cases, affliction) atones for most sins.

Sky Blue It's a choice, and a bad choice at that. The Torah forbids a man to have sexual relations with another man. A person who is born with such an inclination (and there are many, as it is one facet of the "evil inclination" with which we are all born), his purpose in life is to work on himself and to contain his evil impulse. That, my friend, is the gist of the matter. I have seen transgender youth who feel they have been placed in the "wrong body." What they fail to realize, however, is that they are in the right body, but their inclination draws them to act contrary to nature. Proof of which, often a transgender man-to-woman cannot have a normative sexual relation with a man, since his mind is programmed to be sexually attracted to women. A homosexual while he might gratify his lusts is never fully happy, as the bonding between a man and a man is not the same as the bonding between a man and a woman. Enough said.

Jews didn't dare to create G-d's Law, they just decide to follow it. when trying to follow G-d's commandments we can't always do what we feel. hating is also a feeling that comes from the soul that doesn't mean we act upon it. This rabbi may well feel a certain way but definitely should not act upon it and his merit will be even greater in the world to come

There used to be a man that laid with man, who although he laid with man retained his manhood. He was the king, the king B, until August 16 1981. I opened my mouth that day and God filled it with words saying 'King of kings--Droids Defused', at that very moment you might say all man's sins were poured upon mankind. That's 37 years ago and anybody in their 30's would have no idea what I’m talking about, but the King B the got his just reward. Since that day it’s been 'he who steals man---so shall He be stole’. They've all become like women. Many of those in denial of what God has taken from them, still believe they're men. My opinion is, I believe it affects 50% of the men right in the USA alone. Don't you see Rabbi Ron, God has' made the decision...He just hasn't acted yet. Funny thing about those women, they still call a man who's always ready a machine (droid) today. If none of this is true may יהוה strike me Dead. The sovereign one sent by the sovereign God, The one nobody believes. Bless the sovereign God of Israel Jehovah!
