A former RAF serviceman has been speaking of his pride that he can finally wear his medal again - after he was kicked out of the forces because he was gay.
Carl Austin-Behan, from Manchester, served in the RAF for six years, before his sexuality was revealed in 1997. He was spared prison, but lost his medals, and his career. Gay people weren't allowed to serve in the military until a rule change three years later.
Now the Ministry of Defence say that they need to address an "historical wrong". Former military members can now reclaim medals stripped from them because of their sexuality.
