I've lived here for 50 years. We used to have 30 bars but now about 7 bars. Also be prepared for sticker shock, with beer price at $9.00 + and cocktails are outrageous. That's CDN currency. Still a fun city...

As a gay Toronto resident you guys did a great gay visit to our city! You might want to add Steamworks Bathhouse on Church st. for those boys who like Canadian beef AND the gay owned Vertie Cannabis Shop on Carlton for legal marijuana which you can smoke in the open across the street at beautiful Allen Gardens park. Ask for the hot owner Paul for all your weed needs. Enjoy Gay Toronto!!!

Much less than in major U.S. cities, but yes, post pandemic, there are many unhoused and struggling people in Toronto and in most if not all major North American cities. We did not feel unsafe at any of the places we visited or recommend for gay travelers.

Maybe things have changed? We saw a homeless person or two but nothing different than in any US city we’ve visited post pandemic! 🤷‍♂️
