My favorite music is country music, I have loved it since I was a child! Nashville is more lively and energetic than I imagined! I look forward to traveling there one day! You are the kindest KZbinrs on the channel I have ever watched, I feel you are really sincere and friendly! Your smiles are also the warmest, my favorite, they feel like they can melt an iceberg! Thanks a lot for sharing, really super great job! 👍😍👏🎉

Thank you so much!! It has been a few years since we’ve been to Nashville, and wow! It’s definitely gotten better with time! We were also introduced to a county artist Brooke Eden through a friend who gave us lots of good recs! Check her out if you don’t know her already! LGBTQ country artist! Thanks again and safe travels! 🙏❤️😊

Also check out Frankie J's in the Germantown area of Downtown, a gay bar with event weekends. Another favorite place of mine but less well known, is Homegrown in Donelson, a gay and queer friendly beer place with good food, trivia night, and some live music.

Next time you're in town you should go to the lipstick lounge in east.

Well, living here in Nashville, I can say that the gay scene here is very tame. It is fun, but don't have high expectations. This is not Atlanta or Ft. Lauderdale! The honky tonks along Broadway are a blast, abd you will see many gay patrons there! Do check out Bourbon Street Boogie Bar in Printers Alley! A New Orleans Style blues club with live music!

Y'all missed our heyday by about 20 years. We used to have the largest gay club in the country. 2000 people there every weekend... Ahh Connections...

Wow! Sounds incredible! I (Trai) went to school in Atlanta and had a friend at Vanderbilt so used to come a lot but didn’t make it there. Backstreet was the same in Atlanta. Now a condo building! 😭

🎵 🎹🎹🎹 🎵 I thought I was old back then, so I was kinda embarrassed to go, and only did once. I got come onto then, but it scared me into thinking I'd have to "tell my age", so i quickly left. That was 20 years ago! Omg... I THOUGHT "old" back then... Good grief, what happened?? 😆 Time and life just fly by! I'd CERTAINLY not go out anywhere now! I guess I should just stay in my rocking chair. Darn!! 😭🤣 (see me now here on my own channel)

Not to date myself but that was the age of the Warehouse, which is now a tire place (Firestone), I believe. There was another gay bar in the same parking lot but I cannot recall the name.

Hi Andy & Trai I’ve only just discovered that you have this channel (Pete didn’t tell me) it’s great. As I play in a blues band I’ve always wanted to visit Nashville. Do you think if so went I could easily jam? Bill (Pete’s dad)

Hey Andy & Trei … had an idea for a video 😊… I heard in your DC video that they’re having World Pride in 2025 and of course when I heard that I said I have to go! I’m in Pittsburgh only 4 hours away. So why not. But I was wondering: what’s it like to go to a World Pride vs Pride Fests in any given cities? Is it extremely jam packed and uncomfortable? Or is it more spread out and manageable? Just wondering since some people aren’t big on crowds. 🤷🏼♂️
@TwoGayExpats7 ай бұрын
Hey 👋 we’ve also never been to World Pride but the festival was too crowded for us for regular DC Pride! We love the parade tho as plenty of space as long route and lots of house parties we met new friends and joined! Just come early would be our advice and enjoy where the day takes you! 🌈

sadly the Chase Sapphire Reserve is losing Priority Pass restaurant access in July. You’ll only be able to use lounges from then on.

Sure thing! Didn’t want you to show up at a restaurant and be told you no longer have the credit. I love you guys. My husband and I went to Oaxaca and Zipolite last month and followed every bit of your tips and recommendations. I was kinda hoping you’d be there too haha

Not sponsored by Chase, but we’re continually amazed at the thousands of dollars of benefits we receive each year from being a CSR card member! If you want to travel for free, it’s the best travel credit card available in our opinion.

Aren't drag shows banned in Tennessee?
@TwoGayExpats5 ай бұрын
We forgot about that! But looks like a federal judge overturned that silliness last year! Jun 3, 2023 - Late Friday, a federal judge overturned Tennessee's new drag law, ruling that it violates the First Amendment.

I was just wondering at the state of TN and the gay life scene. Isn't TN very conservative and being LGBTQ+ is very looked down on?
@TwoGayExpats7 ай бұрын
Surely in the rest of TN, but Nashville is very open and welcoming to the LGBTQ+ community at least from what we saw!
@mtsu23787 ай бұрын
Nashville and Memphis are very friendly. Knoxville has become much more friendly in recent years. I think the rural areas are a lot less friendly. There is still some cultural differences going on in the state, but it is definitely better than it was 15 years ago.
