The Gayatri Mantra originates in the Rg Veda - the oldest of the 4 Vedic texts. Savitr, the force of the sun, the giver of light brings the day into being. The rising and setting of the sun is the basis of life on our planet. The sacred words of the Gayatri Mantra are the syllables with which Savitr brings the light forward to ignite the life and consciousness of the world. The sun is a metaphor for the light of our own awareness, our own illuminated consciousness.
My strongest wish at the moment: let there be peace and love among all beings of the universe. Let there be Peace.
