Great work finding so many of these cars and it's good to know most of them are still out there even if they're living very quiet lives. And yes it was me who took the photo of the fire engine; I was keen to find this one as I now have a car with a very similar reg. I found it for sale in Norway in 2014 but nothing since. A couple of other things: the Morris Minor wasn't owned by the museum and is definitely not still there. Looks like the owner may have changed her mind about selling it so it was returned to her and hasn't been used since. The Rover 827 apparently ended up with a collector in France but the trail goes cold after that.

Evening Oscar, been a great series. Is the sectioned SD1 in the museum the same car as the auction as the museum one looks series 2 whereas the auction one is series 1 Cheers Russ

No they are different cars. I found the fully cutaway car on my interweb wanderings and thought it was too interesting not to include.

Gutted about the rover 800 ,I was a rover garage apprentice at the time and remember the rover internal press builtin at the time about this car and remember seeing it at Graydon with the faked mud on it made from painted expanding foam.

At Oscar, I tried to do a similar Tax & Mot check and the enquirey fails ? I get a strange message >> "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading. The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. Please contact the web site owners to inform them of this problem."
