Superbly restored Trucks. The Essex Trucks seem to be very nicely done. I will never understand why the Volvos smoke that much upon cold start. I hope to cure this on my F89 after getting the engine, injectors and injection pump overhauled... before the whole truck disppeared in white,blue and black smoke for about 2 min at temperatures at around the freezing point...

When You start up an Volvo F89/88 engine You must open a cover which is on front of the cab, and pull a chain which is joined to injecjon pump. It give a bigger fuel injection, faster temperature riseing, lower smokeing.
