I absolutely LOVE to watch you decorate a journal. You take so much care with every page unlike the reckless abandon of some crafters. You take the time to make sure every piece coordinates with the page itself and the page next to it with regards to color and texture and subject. Your journals have a balance to them. I don't know what you charge but it isn't enough!

Lovin' both of these journals. I need to get out my fabrics and make some of those ruffles, they add so much. I enjoy watching everything you make! We had terrible weather on Easter and no electricity for part of the morning. My one daughter was out of electricity for 8 hours that day. Has flurried off and on all day here today in central Nebraska. I'm ready for warm weather to come and stay.

Hi Gayle. If your hands hurt from to much washing you have forgotten to use skin lotion. After every handwash use handlotion or fat bodylotion. Take care of yourself. Huggs.

I love that stencil you use here, Timmy’s wild flowers I do believe it’s called. Then you take out shocking pink and neon green distress inks (I know that’s not their name but the colors are 😁) and I hold my breath. Oh no I think. You ink and remove the stencil and it look absolutely gorgeous! 👍🏽❤️

For the digitals that are sent to you that have white backs, have you tried printing a coffee stained digital or eco print on the back before sewing them in? It would save a lot of time and ink if it worked!

Interesting that you got an altered book, the other day I was cleaning my craft room which I’ve been doing on and off for weeks and I came across a bunch of those Design Originals books and I had a whole bunch of them for making altered books. I looked at the date of one of them and it was 2004, I’m old so to me that was yesterday, but then when I do the math it’s 16 years ago. I thought it was interesting that they talked about washi paper, embroidering on paper, and doing background collage sheets like we’re doing now and calling master boards. I just thought that was interesting what goes around comes around. I had 36 of those crafting books on all kinds of different subjects, what a hoarder. I put them on Facebook Marketplace and sold 11 of them to one lady right away but I still have the rest.

Hi Gayle, my hands have gotten roughed up from all the washing, too, over the past couple of weeks. I bought some Dr. Bronner's bar soap and it's helped a lot. (This is NOT a paid endorsement LOL). They have a website or I found mine on Amazon.

When I worked in OR, we used plain ol Vaseline to grease up our hands with. Scrubbing your hands 5 min multiple times a day with antibacterial cleansers plus the powder from the sterile gloves simply eats your skin lol. Still used other hand creams off duty as well.

Gayle, please tell me that the cool Turkey Tail fungus "pocket" (you are filling it with a tag or journal card around 1 hour) is in a printable format. ?????? I think the pocket you are referring to is two leaves of an artificial flower that have bees stamped on them. I received them in happy mail. 😁❤️

I hate to sound like an advertisement and I have no stake in this company, but after my hands started looking like I was wearing rhino skin gloves and felt like they were on fire, I remembered I had this comfrey-st. john's wort salve I bought from a wonderful online company. I put a bunch on every time I washed for several days, and then when I came home at night after work. The website is mountainroseherbs (all one word) dot com if anyone wants to see if they have their comfrey-st. john's wort compound. It comes in a little tin. They've been pretty slammed recently but we are all gonna have to wash our hands a lot more from now on, so it will always come in handy. Ooops, made a pun! Hope it helps a little !
