When you starting talking about unfinished projects, I almost fell off my chair when you brought out the huge stack of them, hilarious. You would laugh too if you saw my unfinished projects. I literally could be working on them forever. I won't get done with them before I pass on that's how many I have !!! I learned procrastination from my mother !!! She was awesome at it.❤☀

As a quilter I totally understand unfinished projects! We call them UFO's unfinished objects or the more positive WIP's works in progress. What I try to do is finish one before I start a new project and I would start with the one that is the closest to being finished. It's the most satisfying and encouraging. Go for it, girlfriend!

She sounds like an amazing and fascinating woman! Not to mention incredibly talented! I can’t wait for the boho journals. That blue trim with the beads is stunning. Hi Gayle - 🤗Thanks for the hi and hugs today. I love the pillow cover. That is most definitely a treasure and it was made by someone special to you. The blue trim would be pretty to take off some of the long beads and make charms to use with the trim in a journal. They could hang from tabs down the side of the pages. Would really be pretty. I know how you feel about unfinished projects. Got a lot of them in my sewing stash! I would do the cinch journals first since they are so close to being finished. Then I would take the ones that are closer to being done and complete those until all are done, sold and out of your craft room! A lot of 💰💰💰for your Disney trip just sitting there saying “do me do me”!!! Lol. You can do your design team projects in between finishing these. However you choose to complete these will be awesome. Do what speaks to you! Just getting to watch is fun. Hugs!🤗💕📚💰

Gayle, wonderful finds. I agree about framing the embroidered piece. I did that with some needlework dining chair seat covers my neighbor did for me. I removed them when I sold the dining set. I have never regretted the cost to have them "preservation framed". They were already showing a little damage from moths. They were treated to prevent further damaged, then framed. They will always be treasured.

I’m new to your channel and I love all the journals you do. I’m just getting into making journals. I think you should take the journal that is the closest to being done and finish that so you have a sense of accomplishment in finishing a project.
@freidagepner23705 жыл бұрын
I think you should start with the cinch journals. Then one whole bin will be done pretty quick because most of them are almost done. Then that accomplishment will spur you on to do the ones that are more involved. The estate sale items were a treasure waiting just for you! The velvet with the needle work is beyond beautiful. You can see from all the intricate stitches that it was a labor of love. But then so are the journals and all the bits and pieces we make and create from the inner part of us.
@lottiefaith69355 жыл бұрын
Gayle, I feel so good I'm dancing! Actually, your unfinished projects are so nicely stored it makes me feel bad because mine are so messy! Just kidding. Sometimes while working on a project it gets to where you are kind of forcing yourself to go on with it not really feeling it and that's the best time to put them aside for a bit. I love the velvet piece you got from your friend's estate sale, it is gorgeous and has sentimental value as well. I like the idea someone else suggested, to number them, put the numbers in a bag and pull one. All of the projects are beautiful so whatever you finish will be fun for us to watch. I liked the 3 or 4 pockets you created. : )

I think that we must be related some how. I would definitely finish those almost-done journals! Nothing like that sensation of feeling accomplished to spur on more completed projects. You and your funny start to a creative session just made me laugh. I sit down and move stuff around for about 5 minutes ( I think it's so that I can see everything I've got that's out already), and then I just do stuff. I have a lot of strips of coffee dyed paper, and sometimes I just can't see what I want to do with them. I think that I need to just do something and move on so that I stop moving them around.
