I really appreciate this series. I had been thinking that I need to do several at a time, like an assembly line, but was a little stumped on how to do it and maintain each journal's individuality. You've given so much good information here -- not only about how to do several at once, but also just technique and some artistic tips which are super helpful. Thanks so much for your generosity in sharing all your great ideas and wisdom. I'm truly addicted to your videos.

I'm about to do a swap with a friend and she's VERY experienced at making Junk Journals and I'm still on the newbie side. I've been watching your KZbin tutorials now since the beginning of December and I have to say, Gayle, you are an AMAZING teacher and person. I, too, love your full length (not LONG) videos that show the "real time" it takes to put things together. Part 1 & 2 have been super helpful because now I realize that I should get my papers in order first before I jump to wanting to do the more "fun" things. Also, I have to say that I LOVE the way you laugh at yourself when you're doing things!!! It makes me laugh, too, and realize that this is a fun process and not to take it or myself too seriously. Nothing was "boring" because it's all part of the process and, like I said, it's great to see what it takes and also the real time it takes. Of course, I suspect you move a little faster than I may as I begin but I hope to learn how to laugh it off and just keep plugging away at it until it's done. Once again, thank you for being such a wonderful teacher and caring about your "subbies" out here that really look forward to our time "together" for each crafting lesson!!💜

The covers are all so lovely. Having fun crafting with you as I watch this video series. I'm actually working on multiple journals too and there are nine of them - how fitting. And I put the side of the paper I like best on the front too. Same philosophy that it's the side you see first so I intentionally choose the side I like best - hehe.

@gayleagostinelli_ct6 жыл бұрын
Cynthia, you’re not doing a thing wrong. That’s just what they do as they stack in. In the next video, you’ll see that I put lace on the edge of the first page...hides any overages. Also, I end up cutting my middle paper.....it was just too long! I’ll get the next video uploaded soon!! ❤️

I was just going to ask you if you ever trim off your pages to make them fit. How much can the lace stick out on a TN?
@gayleagostinelli_ct6 жыл бұрын
onewhocrops Yes, I trim them as shown in the video, but if the middle hangs out too much I trim it...think I did so in the next video. 😁. The amount of lace hang over really depends on what you think looks good. No real rule on that one. Hope that helps! ❤️

What kind of paper do you use for eco dyeing ing and coffee staining? Regular printer paper? I eco dyeing but I never got such vibrant colours. Did you use flowers or mostly leaves? All your papers look amazing!!!
@gayleagostinelli_ct6 жыл бұрын
I use just plain old cheap Walmart brand copy paper for eco dying with some watercolor paper thrown in. My favorite plants to use are peony leaves, dogwood bush leaves, rose petals and leaves and geranium blooms. The secret I’ve found to vibrant colors is putting 6 to 10 drops of red food coloring in the water. Hope this helps! ❤️

Never boring. My hubby is sitting here watching the MHSAA football pairing for playoffs. Our local high school is one of them, along with a few others in the area! I have to ask, do you iron your coffee dyed papers? I did some for the first time last weekend and boy they don't lay nice and flat like yours.

Rhoda, I don’t iron mine. I just put them in a file folder that is squished in with several others...once they are in that file folder for awhile, they are straight as can be!!
