Good morning Gayle! This journal is coming along nicely. The Tim Holtz type pieces really go well in there. I tried quilting back in the day, and like you, the precision work was not for me. We're just coming out of the deep freeze. We were below zero a couple of days with wind chills even colder. Today we're supposed to get up into the low 20s. My mother-in-law starts a second round of radiation therapy next week as her follow-up scans were not what we'd hoped. There is so much ephemera in Joey’s kit that I used much of it and added some sports ephemera for layering and 50’s women for journal cards, after all, 50’s men were interested in 50’s women, right? I was able to use many of his tags and pieces to make pockets. It’s such a fun journal and so much paper that I’ll be doing a second one. It really comes together with many varying ideas. So much fun.

Good Morning Gayle and Friends! Ephemera is always a favorite part for me. Was that a glassine bag/pocket with stamping on it?? Loved that look for sure. Once you put the Hey Mister on it, Elvis started sing “U.S. Male” in my ear! (My sister was a huge fan so I had to listen to a lot of Elvis in my young years!). What a trooper doing the ironing. I had 3 friends that we would make quilts together and we would break up the duties, also. brought back some good memories for me so thank you for sharing. I had my hopes up that I might get to go to Juanita’s retreat in march, but Herb has to go back to Ohio to help the siblings with their parents estate. Jezebel and I will have to hold the fort down while he’s out helping. Maybe next year! Blessings & hugs!
