Lunch with Vince Gill

Oklahoma City’s country music superstar ‪@VinceGill‬ has been in the music industry for more than 40 years. Over his career, Vince has recorded 20 studio albums, charted 40 singles on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, and sold more than 26 million albums. Vince has earned 22 Grammy wins -- more than any other male country music artist. He has also won 18 Country Music Association awards, including two Entertainer of the Year awards and five Male Vocalist awards.
During this interview, Oklahoma Hall of Fame staff ask Vince about his wildly successful career including collaborations with everyone from Faith Hill and Patty Loveless to Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson plus how he joined and started touring with the Eagles. We also learn what Vince's favorite restaurant is...hint, it's something in Oklahoma City!

Vince is the real deal. Total class act humble and one of the best singer songwriter guy’s on the planet,I’ve been lucky enough to see him twice and think he is one of the best guitar players I’ve ever seen. I like all different kinds of music and have seen a lot of great guitar players Stevie ray vaughn frank zappa Jonny lang edger and Jonny winter I would say he is right at the top of the list.also when I did see him it was very entertaining because he brought a sense of humor and great stories. Wish he would come back to Wisconsin when he goes on his solo tour! I seen him last week with the Eagles,I’m a huge fan of the Eagles and he is not glen,but I really thought with his voice he brought a lot to the table and the show was fantastic!!! Keep doing what your doing Vince,love you hope to see you on a solo show,if not mabey again with the Eagles.

I heard Vince at the Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa concert. They kept using the strobe lights that blind the crowd while performing. Get rid of those awful lights. We are there to hear the artist and band. We don't want those strobe lights blinding us. I even sent a message on his site about this where it said he normally will reply within 24 hours. He didn't like my comment says he didn't reply back but two other people had read my comments from his band. Interesting Chris Stapleton is his favorite singer . I could not hear Vince because the woman announcer was blurring the whole time. To the main woman interviewing is there a way to turn down your mic so we could be able to hear both people without turning up the volume up and down to hear Vince and other people you're interviewing ?
