I'm beginning to wonder if I should remain a DA supporter. John seems to have suddenly changed his views on Israel/Palestine since he teamed up with the corrupt ANC. In December 2023, the ANC was bankrupt and suddenly a whole heap of money was showered on them. They strutted off to the ICJ to return the favour. A lot of DA supporters from a certain sector, especially in the Western Cape, turned against the DA and voted for the ANC as they were "free Palestine" supporters. Naledi can tell us more on that. As a Christian whose Grandfather fought in WWII from New Brunswick, Canada I was genuinely surprised when I learned that Jews and Christians weren't the closest of friends and allies. Furthermore, after Oct 7, 2023 I went online and tracked down the two young, at the time, Jewish friends I had in elementary school whose Bar Mitzvah's I had gone to, to ensure they were OK and safe. I was stunned, and mortified, to learn the rampant anti- semitism they had experienced back home. I'll say this: if someone says they're Christian and they don't love the land, people and nation of Israel then they are not Christian. We read a book written by Jewish prophets, worship a Jewish Messiah, and pray for the return of our Jewish Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, the annointed of the Most High, who will rule from the throne of David in a renewed city of Jerusalem. Pretty hard to be Christian and anti-semitic at the same time. I pray for the people of Israel and hope as many as possible come to faith before He returns.
