I've liked the odd bit of Supergrass but I've been caught by surprise at how much I like this song. It is unique, unusual, beautifully constructed and a perfect length. The 'chorus', if it is, from 1:05 min reminds me of my favourite band, The Associates, for its off-kilter hysteria and film-soundtrack quality. Sweet 'epilogue' tagged on the end too. Do you like The Associates, Gaz?

Good luck with the Mercury Music Prize tonight, Gaz, it's certainly one of my favourite album purchases of those released this year* - top 6, if not higher! You've got some good competition in that shortlist though... *My other album purchases this year are ineligible, being releases from 2014**, 1990, 1987, 1983 & 1980! **Oooh, actually the entry criteria says released between 9/9/14-25/9/15 and it was 4/10/14 but it has to be available on cd as well as dl and it's dl only, so it's still ineligible. ...Ahh and it has to be a UK /Irish artist so that rules out 1 from US*** in that top 6, so Gaz has made my top 5 by default!! ;) ***Reminds me I have another from the US on despatch, but that hadn't been counted ...Almost forgot: I'll be seeing you at OPEN in Norwich in just 3 weeks time...
