A couple of years ago I was a big Coldplay fan, and I read their guitarist’s interview in which he said that this was the song he was listening to back in those days. I’m thankful to him.

I'm totally shocked that no one is mentioning the weird gaz face in the back of the runner's face. It's odd, right? In such a otherwise beautiful and atmospheric video. Like... why?
@gt31557 жыл бұрын
Ripe Ripa yök I know it's been a minute since you wrote your comment here, but I had a thought watching this video. I think Gaz's face on the back of the runners symbolizes the voice in the back of our heads. We have this normal guy jogging throughout the video and in life we see people all around us, but we never know what exactly is going on inside - "there's panic in my heart"- All of the shit we find ourselves thinking about at times we'd rather cover up than wear on our sleeves. The guy in the vid keeps the hood up to cover up what's underneath it all, then when he is alone out in the middle of nowhere he lets the hood down and lets it all go where there's no one to look and talk shit about what's underneath, possibly symbolizing the person we are when we are alone to the person we are out in the world - "out in the dark we are heroes" "I can't hide from it all". The song and video ends with guy still running, only stopping for a moment to reflect (let the hood down) on what's inside, but he keeps going. We have to keep pushing, keep going, regardless of what's underneath it all. Either way, this is just a random ass analysis after watching the vid for the first time. Good vid, good music. Peace out.
