Gaza famine could hurt people's health for decades | DW News

A new UN-backed food security assessment warns that half of the Palestinians in Gaza are now experiencing catastrophic hunger - and that famine could hit the north soon, if aid deliveries are not immediately increased. There's been growing unease among Israel's allies about the human cost of its war against Hamas, which began after the radical Islamist group's terror attack on October 7th.
For more on this, we talk to Martin Frick from the World Food Program. He joins us from Berlin.
And we talk to Hazem Balousha, a journalist who was based in Gaza in the first months of the war. He joins us now from Amman.

Not just the hostages, those who lost people or witnessed the massacre. Honestly, the whole country is in trauma! And now we are being blamed for it and the suffering of the Gazans too! Our allies are turning their backs on us and the threat from Iran is growing by the day as they get one day closer to finishing the development of their nuclear capabilities.
