I have always said that the best tank in the world isn't measured by its maneuverability vs other tanks, it isn't measured by its armour vs other tanks nor is it measured by its firepower vs other tanks. It is measured by it being "Fit for purpose." Can the tank in question do the job for which it was built in the given theatre of operation it is designed to fight in. If the tank can excel at its job that it was design to do then it doesn't matter if some tank is more maneuverable and it doesn't matter if enemies tanks have more armour. What matters if it can do it job either because it out numbers the enemy or because it is better designed to fight in the role it finds itself in. This is why i felt the best tank of WWII was the Russian t-34 and the USA sherman tanks. The T-34 was design to fight in the plains of eastern Europe and it excelled at that role, it either could destroy any enemy tank if found by attacking its front or it could be produced in numbers that always meant that there were enough t-34s in a battle that if any given single t-34 couldn't destroy an enemy tank the other t-34 tanks on the field were able to hit the flanks defeating the enemy. The Sherman was a tank designed to be able to fight in ANY theater of war the USA found itself in and dominate the battle either by superior designs like in the pacific or superior numbers like the European theatre. This is why the famed Tiger tank was never an operational threat to the Sherman, because it was always unable to deal with the number of allied tanks. This meant any single victory in a single battle a tiger might gain was never enough to change the strategic outcome. This shows that superior armour or firepower at the cost of the purpose the tanks has to fill aka be built in enough numbers to be able to stop allied/soviet tank formations is a losing trade off. The Israel seem to have understood this with the Merkava, they need a tank designed to fight in close quarters as well as be a good enough sniper to destroy tank formations from fortified firebases. The modular design of the tank allows for it to change role based on need of the operation. This is a sign of just how well the Israelis have designed their tanks and they did so under time and under budget. Impressive.

Fallujah? A few others but yes while armored vehicles are at a heavy disadvantage in urban environments they are not useless. They can be mobile fire support, they can protect infantry if chemical weapons are used or IEDs are likely to be present. But someone has to take down enemy positions. Artillery and Air take time a tank has its cannon and are less vulnerable than squishy infantry.

Well gaza is one of the most densly populated areas in the world. Tanks can go trough walls but not trough buildings. And ambushes makes it worse. The Gazan's are using two stage RPGs and come under fire almost immediately after the RPG hit. A direct hit is likely to force the tanks to retreat, which is better than complete destruction as it'll pull precious resources from other areas for repair. Tandem launches are also being used, which if in the same area of the tank are likely to roast everyone inside and the crews ears will be ringing like crazy despite interception. Hamas says it's destroyed hundreds of vehicles and Col Douglas McGregor of US said that's probably accurate. IsraHell said they've lost around 10% of their inventory while 5% was under repair. Hamas figures are closer to 18-20% so they're not that far apart.

Many Religions that we know nowadays, at their beginning were true and under Islam, initiated by one of the prophets of God, but their original teachings, history and scriptures have been corrupted over time with falsification and polytheism, or lost and replaced with false ones. That's why Islam is the only Religion accepted by God nowadays, which consists in bearing witness that there is no god besides Allah (God in Aramaic, the original language of Jesus and the Gospel), and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, just like Jesus and Moses and others are His servants and messengers. Never a messenger of God said he was God or literally son of God, it was the people after him who changed the words of God and corrupted the Religion. God is unique and absolute, He does not need to have a family and sons or to associate anyone else with His kingdom, He can simply create whatever He wants, everything belongs to Him, and to Him everything will return. Allah said in Surah Al-Mu’minun : “God has never begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what it has created, and some of them would have gained supremacy over others. Glory be to God, far beyond what they describe. The Knower of the hidden and the manifest. He is exalted, far above what they associate. (91-92 / Translated by ITANI). Allah means the one and only God, the God of all prophets and creatures, the creator of the universe and mankind, and the Master of the Day of judgment, where our destiny, Hell or Paradise, is decided based on our faith and deeds in this trial life, and above all, Allah's mercy. Allah said in Surah Al-Ikhlas : In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful. Say, “He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none comparable to Him.” (1-4 / Translated by ITANI). Allah said in Surah An-Nisa : O FOLLOWERS of the Gospel! Do not overstep the bounds [of truth] in your religious beliefs, and do not say of God anything but the truth. The Christ Jesus, son of Mary, was but God's Apostle - [the fulfilment of] His promise which He had conveyed unto Mary - and a soul created by Him. Believe, then, in God and His apostles, and do not say, "[God is] a trinity". Desist [from this assertion] for your own good. God is but One God; utterly remote is He, in His glory, from having a son: unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth; and none is as worthy of trust as God. Never did the Christ feel too proud to be God's servant, nor do the angels who are near unto Him. And those who feel too proud to serve Him and glory in their arrogance [should know that on Judgment Day] He will gather them all unto Himself: (171-172 / Translated by Muhammad Asad). Allah the Most Merciful said in Surah Ali-Imran : Behold, the only [true] religion in the sight of God is [man's] self-surrender unto Him; and those who were vouchsafed revelation aforetime took, out of mutual jealousy, to divergent views [on this point] only after knowledge [thereof] had come unto them. But as for him who denies the truth of God's messages - behold, God is swift in reckoning! Thus, [O Prophet,] if they argue with thee, say, "I have surrendered my whole being unto God, and [so have] all who follow me!" - and ask those who have been vouchsafed revelation aforetime, as well as all unlettered people, "Have you [too] surrendered yourselves unto Him?" And if they surrender themselves unto Him, they are on the right path; but if they turn away - behold, thy duty is no more than to deliver the message: for God sees all that is in [the hearts of] His creatures. Verily, as for those who deny the truth of God's messages, and slay the prophets against all right, and slay people who enjoin equity - announce unto them a grievous chastisement. It is they whose works shall come to nought both in this world and in the life to come; and they shall have none to succour them. (19-22 / Translated by Muhammad Asad).. Like many Hebrew and Arabic words it shares the same three letter root in both languages: Resh Kaf Bet - ר כ ב - ر ك ب from which you can “construct” many related words like rehev רכב - vehicle, lirhov לרכב - to ride, rohev רוכב - rider, riding. Note I am using ‘h’ to try and represent the sound for kaf כ but there is no equivalent sound in English, it sounds like a combination of the k and h sounds in English (in reality it’s even more complicated becuase there are two variants of כ - כ as a soft kaf and כּ as a hard kaf, in Merkava the hard variant is used but the three letter root uses the soft kaf).

In Urban Setting Tanks are very lucrative Targets for Ambush, Raids, Surprise Attacks, Capture, Destroy, Take Hostages, Killing and more because Tanks may look huge and Terrifying but Urban area with its Building and Infrastructure itself poses restrictions on use of Tanks. Besides, Crew Training, Crew Fatigue, early info about surrounding activities and battle situation counts towards how not to become a casualty by a hostile action. In closing, Fighting in Built up areas, Urban Areas is a Specialized Operation of War it takes a huge Toll on the Attacker specially in the face of a Well Trained and Motivated Defender.

From what i've seen of the APS tests, they had been tested at all sorts of ranges, up to including nearly point black (aka arming distance, like 25 meters for tandem warheads) that had managed to be intercepted. I think the myth of close range shots being able to negate APS comes from blind spots in the system. APS doesn't have a 100% intercept chance either, it's just another additional layer of protection.
