This reminds me of history where the infamous Amin al-Husseini (who in WW2 joined the N_ _ _ regime), stayed abroad in Lebanon but never lived in Palestine to the end of his days.

Where I'm from, we can get arrested without trial for voicing support for Israel. There have even been a number of people abducted or murdered military style for reasons ranging from Islamic apostasy, political exposure, opposing views on certain topics, atheism and Christian related activism. They are still missing today after many years being missing. Our country is nowhere near the Middle East, and our passports are one of the highest-ranked in the world in terms of visa-waived travel.
