They should have made the screened room panels roll down....not up. That way you could crack open the tops in rain to allow airflow. Having them vent at the top is better than the bottom. Especially if you can just open them a little under the rain fly overhang

Very nice tent, buuuuttttt……purchased a t4 plus tent a few months back after months of research. Was stoked and couldn’t wait to get it in the mail. I knew before purchasing that it was pretty big when all packed up and didn’t think it would be an issue. But once I got it, oh man it was just too big and pretty heavy. If your trying to save space on camping/over landing adventures. Or trying to move to a more minimal approach, I don’t recommend this tent. It’s just really big and heavy. I put it up on Craigslist that day and sold it for the same price I got it for lol.

Hi ! Great video. Nice tent. Do you have to extend the side awnings if it rains ? You could roll them under hand so they don't catch rain and dirt. Hope you have a lot of great adventures !
@digitaldirt7773 Жыл бұрын
Well it comes with 2 side extended Fly covers that you stake in. I lived in this for the last two months and I just rolled my fly under so rain would not collect. The windows push out further than the fly covers but when zipped up do not leak. Great tent and don't look at reviews from more than few years ago, they made improvements. This 2023.

Only thing that could have made this video better would have been to show us how to fold it back up. Great tent though.

We’re you able to put it back into the bag that it came with after take down?
@TheBernardHomestead3 жыл бұрын
Yes, They made the bag bigger than it needs to be so that it is really easy getting it back in. They also have a strap that you put around the tent once its folded back up to cinch it down before putting it in the bag.

Thanks. About to use this after one trial run setting up. Our question is on the poles supporting the front door frame. It seems like the bottom pocket for the vertical poles is on the Outside. So we had to unvelcro the floor at that point to find the bottom pocket and then seal it up afterwards. Wondering if our tent has a defect and those bottom pockets should be on the inside?
@TheBernardHomestead4 жыл бұрын
Hey David, mine is the same way so I don’t think it’s a defect. We just make sure that we close up the Velcro around it. I’m no engineer but it seems that they had it go all the way through for rigidity.
@HighPriestessOfTheBlueRidge3 жыл бұрын
Great review, all around. Thanks for uploading! But can I ask your honest opinion having setup and taken down....can it be done solo? I'm about 5'4 and insanely impulsive so I solo camp. I'm looking to upgrade the tent and get a dog. And I'm wondering if I could set this up solo like my pop up, more time and effort needed of course..... Could this be my new camp-home (^_^)

T8 is better. You have to get outside to rol down for rain protection. You have to install the 3 poles. You likely close the screen room at night for privacy which means no air flow. Just all around many reasons to get the t8 vs the t4 plus

Hey Ben, thanks for the review. What are your thoughts now after having taking it out? I've heard some complaints about the floor not reattaching properly after detaching. I've heard that it causes bugs to enter. Have you had that issue? Have you had any issues in colder temperatures?
@TheBernardHomestead3 жыл бұрын
Hey Neil, I have not had to take the floor out of mine yet. I do know what people are talking about on the floor though, when putting the poles in for the front door you have to pull the velcro back a little bit and wrap it around the pole. I have not had any issues with bugs to write home about. We were out camping this past weekend and no issues in the cold. We did turn the heater on a few times for our comfort but thats not an issue.
