I am watching this because I truly enjoyed the hospitality and food of Gazientep. The family I stayed are so wonderful and they took good care of me. I love the pistachio ice cream, kebab is so tasty and meat is so tender.I also ate a lot of traditional food.Its so amazing. Having a meal together with their family makes me think of my own. I went back to UK and felt homesick. It was really a great experience.

i am glad that you are seeing the real side of Turkey. for this , me and the nation of Turkey thanks you. i live in London and i get asked about camels and deserts , and do they have the internet there, they all think it is a country in the dark ages. and that we trade our women and children for goods. how naive are some people. and they only go spain or greece on holiday because there is no alcohol

It's not random tbh. Turkish people lived as nomads for nearly two thousand years. And for all nomadic folk (although most of us settled in the last 500 years) it's a custom to be hospitable to a passing by stranger. You can call it a cultural heritage but it's not written in stone. You learn it by watching your grannies and parents as a child.

those dogs are Kangal: the most ferociously loyal dogs out there. They have an almost mythical status in many parts of Turkey, for their magnificence and independence. there have been many times in my life that I have known a wild Kangal dog to simply chose someone as their owner. From that point on, no matter what - even if their chosen master doesn't really want them there - they will sit outside the house to defend it. Magnificent beasts.

OK it is time to bring you economics of çay: you can have 350 to 500 cups of çay from 1 kg pack. now today's prices you can have decent quality 1 kg pack around 80TL. lets divide the price of 80 to 400, you will get 0.2TL for cup. and I know there is water price to add but its totally comes to 0.3 - 0.4 TL at max. but in the other hand it is the perfect ice breaker. so when you look what you get to price you pay it is totally okay for everyone.
