This band is beyond great for me, I mean even bands that are considered greats have some shi**y songs, but I have not found one with this band. Floor is the most versatile, powerful, and charismatic vocalist I have ever seen or heard. Just wait you will see this woman can do anything she decides with her voice, and flawlessly transition from one sound to another. Loving your reactions a lot man.

I have listened to the whole 2013 Wacken Show, End of An Era, Tampere...which has most of the "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" album. And I have the "Decades Tour" 2 disc CD and DVD from Buenos Aries in my SUV at all times....and every song is fantastic! Tuomas just doesn't write bad music!

This show had a setlist of 15 songs. Tuomas, their keyboardist, is their main songwriter and lyricist of the band.

Love the energy and enthusiasm. Emppu is a master at just playing the perfect solo for what the song requires, and not trying to show off. Eventually, you might find both previous lead singers doing that song live, when you get that far in your journey. Personally, I think Floor does it best. It’s also the one she says is the most difficult to perform. Keep the Nightwish coming!

Great reaction and I'm so glad you're enjoying the composition lyricly as well as musically. Nightwish released a KZbin video entitled "Please Learn The Set List In 48 Hours" That was quite literally said directly to Floor after she agreed to help Tuomas (keyboards) in filling in on vocals after they fired their previous singer, Anette Olzon on September 29, 2012. Floor's debut with the band was exactly 48 hours later on October 1st in Seattle Washington, and she nailed it!! Impressive to say the least, but that's not why I brought that up.... 😆 The guitarist, Emppu Viorinen, was heard in that video, saying that "overplaying while performing live is completely overrated. Other than the "Big 3", this is my favorite live clip of Nightwish. Floor is just on fire. She could well be the greatest vocalist of the recorded era.

There are a few other great shows (sound and video quality). However, we love to have reactors start with Wacken. That is what Nightwish calls a single release for European radio. From 2002. Good call. It was similar to Nemo in structure and era. Great stuff GazMash. You have a damn good metal voice as well my friend. 🤘🤘🤘👍

She sings every note like her life depends on it. It's my favourite rendition. The belt on the gallop home after the key change is like when Han Solo says: "Punch it, Chewie!" If I had a time machine and could only use it once I know where I'd be going. Right here at Wacken. haha. PS I found ANOTHER Japanese lady metal band Gaz. They are from 2008 and are called ALDIOUS. Read up on them and take a look at their latest live clip on their YT channel called WE ARE with their new singer. Pretty damn good. Power and Melodic metal band.

Good one Nightwish are great but I know you are into the voice maybe you should listen to some of Floor covers too, Alone, Oblivion, Adagio, Euphoria etc also she was on a Dutch tv show with other singers where they sing each others songs or favourites each week. Beste Zangers 2019. Watch the faces of the other singers when they hear Floor for the first time.

Gabriel's list is a great guide, but don't feel as though you have to follow it in exact order. If you prefer heavier songs you might want to jump to some of those. Some great heavier songs are Dark Chest of Wonders, Yours is an Empty Hope, Planet Hell, Tribal and Master Passion Greed. oh yeah gazmash, now you have done 3 songs, 100+ more to come. not all live, but all enjoyable :) Their angriest song is "Master Passion Greed", here you can hear what happens when Toumas is pissed off by someone However, there is no and there will be no live performance of that song, so this is a studioversion reaction you HAVE to do when time has come

Wyldeside, youre on Cheap Mode:D? All you say is 100% agreed. Plus, i really get use to like the Bassline in this one, after hearing it many Times, nearly as an rythmn guitar Part. Didnt punch in Live that Strong even i felt in my stomach like the drums, only at Home on Screen/ in Mediaplay. Marko just blew this to epic Status for me, as he starting Vocals, and ofc getting the Crowd hyped on. ok 3/17 NW Army Bavaria out.
