There is no act regarding city and town GBs...so customary laws being different in every tribes cannot be applied in towns or cities,thats wat sir kahuto meant..and thus govt can appoint any person within town(multiracial and communities ) as per the required criteria to assist the administrative works of the area. In town and city under municipality, each community can have a representative to assist the town municipal corporation ..hence village GB and town GB is totally different.

If a non Naga can be a GB then a non Naga can also apply for NPSC/NSSB who are staying in Dimapur since the independence or whatever etc. I think we have this Issue in the last Assembly ( not exactly abt this issue but related to Non Nagas applying for Exams in Nagaland). Truth is bitter but honesty is the best policy. 1. All the muslims are not IBIs. 2. We, nagas occupied Dimapur later than others. 3. Dimapur is well within Nagaland state but it's different from other parts of naga territory. We nagas have to accept this reality. 4. Nagas must go into business if we wants to fully naganize Dimapur. My query here is, do we have Marwari GB for Marwaripati and Nepali GB for Nepali bosti and Kashiram?

This GB Kahuto is playing some tactic inorder to earn trust and respect from non-locals of Dimapur. So that in the next election he would get more votes from them (i.e. non-locals). I support sir kahuto in every issues . But on this matter weather he accept it or not dimapur was and is under nagaland during the time of our statehood till date So it belongs to nagas, and for some non-indigenous becoming GBs of nagaland is a threat in a way they might be issuing lots of TRC illegally which could be a threat of future generations. Also his opinion about business that nagas cant run business like non local i dont agree with his opinion, during India struggle for independent, some group of indian thoughts that if Britishers left it would bring lots of hinderance and india wouldn't be able to stand on its feet , but as theres a saying necessity is the mother of all invention, similarily Today its far better than Britishers era , So as of now all good locations and places are located and occupied by non local , if they leave there will be someone from local to start all those business even better than them. Also about fighting in court, India judicary is frame in such a way that it doesn't seperate civil and criminal cases as such even for CIVIL case it takes a year or more which is not as easy as expected, in nagaland protest or agitation solve sooner than the court. With his thoughts , kind of liberalism thought would, someday make nagaland like America and UK where indigenous people would become minority and homeless while illegal immigrants would rule the country/state.

Those who didn't understand what GB Kahuto is saying , let me explain according to my understanding, GB in village and town is completely different , in the village level only the permanent residence of the particular place or village can become the GB because there's a customary law for the particular tribe or village but in town or cities the GB is for administrative functioning , so anyone can become the GB in town or cities despite of being Naga or non naga but should be on the recommendation of the particular community . He's not trying to defend any Muslims or Hindu etc. but telling the truth how the administrative is being function in town and cities, and for your knowledge evn in the new market areas Abdul is not only the one GB but there's 3 GB which consists of Hindu, Muslims and Naga Appointing Non Naga as GB is not going to take away our naga customary law , they are appointed just for smooth administrative functioning within the whole communities.
