Regarding RIIN and indigenous inhabitant 24:00 - only konyak, khiamnungan who are also in Myanmar, and kuki, kachari, garo who are also in neighboring state....but also some few other tribes like rengma who are also in Assam, Zeliang who are both in Manipur and Assam, and some Lotha who are in Assam, pochury in Manipur etc. All these needs to be considered and accessed also.

Dimapur doesn't being to Kachari either though they lived here prior to us. Because they too probably migrated from somewhere else. We all migrated from somewhere to somewhere. But the contemporary status quo must be upheld for various historical social and political reasons. Or else very soon mias will revolt against locals for Equal ownership. First time ever Sir Kohoto Chishi has mis-quoted history. East Bengal (Bangladesh), Northern Bengal and Assam were not a part of the Bengal Kingdom but rather the Koch Kingdom (Greater Kachari). Under the British, this Kingdom got broken down into provinces - partly in Assam & Bengal province. The Hindu-Muslim crusade comes after 1885. Anyway, huge respect for Nagas like Kohoto Chishi. Nagas like him are a saving grace that balances out all the ignorant ones. And I discourage my minority friends from generalising Nagas into a stereotype. Aro RIIN laga process toh bujibi. That apart, please para do not use the term "indigenous" lightly. The meaning of the term specifically means "original inhabitants". Not suggesting that others should be affected negatively but lets understanding the meaning and use it for what it is and not for something else to include some groups that may be "ST" but have settled in Dimapur by the British. Also, I think it should be mentioned that in Dimapur, irrespective of what it is now, whether leased or entirely a part of Nagaland, should've have had a proper land reservation for the Kachari people since they are indigenous tribals and not a mainstream community despite being a former princely state. Even in Assam & Tripura the Royal and noble families are not considered "ST" but the common people are. So settlement should've be restricted to settlement areas in the land allotment of 1980s & 1990s. And with the implementation of Art 371 A, in all legal terms Kacharis can actually claim the same rights as Nagas by default since they are "indigenous STs". Only this is the unfair part of Dimapur being under Nagaland.
