HK P30 SK LEM Shooting Impressions

I bought a P30sk LEM and shortly thereafter sold my Glock 26. I prefer hammer to striker, and ergonomics are fantastic. Keep up the great work.

I have the P30L v3 and I love it. KZbin tells me I'm supposed to hate the trigger, but KZbin can suck it. I'm not John Wick, and never will be no matter what gun I carry. Enough training will negate any problems with triggers. Learn your gun people. It's a great fucking gun, and I enjoy the hell out of it. I'm not a bit surprised the SK is just as reliable.

The P30 & other HK guns with the LEM is like having a revolver type action that self cocks itself after firing, yet uncocks itself if you let up on the trigger, yet you have the benefits of semi auto capacity & fast reloading. With generally no external safety (unless you want one) the simplicity and versatility of this platform is unmatched, especially when you trick it out with a reduced reset trigger. It's my all time favorite platform & the best self defense handgun IMO.

Yeah, I have to admit that now I have my second HK I'm considering getting rid of a few Glocks and others to make room for more HK...alot more HK... I prefer the LEM trigger over a traditional DAO all day long and twice on Sunday. I also prefer it over my former favorite DA/SA. I'm recently retired LEO, and I almost resent that my agency went with Glock to replace S&W so many years ago instead of using HK to replace them.

Had a Glock, nope, gone. Bought a P30SK V3 but just didn't like the DE cocker. Bought a Lem P30L Lem but didn't like the night sights (my vision isn't 20-20 anymore) bought a P30SK Lem with luminescent sights and that's it, done shopping. Always had the right pistol, just looking for the right version. Now 13 rounds with flush plate, can get 15 or 17 with very minimal extension.

Interesting to note the uniform paths of the ejected cases. The three shots made it possible to watch the consistent paths for each brand.

Love my HK P30SK, i prefer it over the glock, really easy to use, I always feel extremely confident in where my rounds are going. I practice quick draw with my CC holster, and it just feels right in my hand. Super easy to strip and clean.

I have the HK VP9 SK and I love it because it is easy to shoot accurately and it always goes bang when I pull the trigger. Just finished a terrific Level 1 pistol workshop with Drew Estell of Baer Solutions. The VP9 was my weapon of choice. Shot, at least, 400 rounds of Winchester White box and Wolf 115 gr FMJ. Not a single problem. Would really like to own a P30 V1 lem.

I really like my P30SK (non LEM). I wish I had gone LEM because the only downfall of mine is the double action trigger. I’ve gotten used to it but I think that trigger (while DA all the time) is smoother and lighter in DA than that first shot with mine. Ergonomically it’s an amazing gun and great carry size. It has eaten everything I’ve ever put in it. Mandy’s take interests me. I’m glad you’ve added that back to the mix Graham. Very nice and thorough review.

It’s not a true DAO... the LEM operates like a single action once you take out the no resistance slack

My experience is i love them. Great ergos, awesome materials and construction. There just a tank of a weapon. I carry a fs usp 40 daily or usp 40c. If you could please review fs usp 40. To me its the handgun that was truly made for the 40sw.

I bought an HKVP9 and brand new out of the box, I cleaned it and reassembled it, hit the slide release, and had not pushed up the slide lock-in lever up, the slide flew off to hit my ceramic tile kitchen floor, and the recoil spring assembly broke- this was totally my fault. I called HK customer service and explained what happened, at that time the part I needed wasn't in the USA, I explained that I had a stroke and that I needed the pistol for self- defense I did have a .45 ACP, but could no longer control the pistol, so I went to 9 mm, I had been robbed in my business by a gang member and he told me they were going to kill me, the service rep, said don't hang-up Im going to go and get you what you need, when he came back he overnighted to me , all at no charge. and I was the problem, not HK. i WILL BUY HK from now on you can't be fairer than this. so far i have not been attacked again, but I always need to be armed and ready.

My name is Rich I live in the communist state of NJ. Many new laws are being challenged in court. Fees going up 2400 percent. But since only 10 rounds are aloud ( except the criminals can carry more ) I prefer 8 shots of 357 magnum. I never have a problem with my slide and extractions, I can't even find them on my revolver. ( Lol ) I have too watch the video again. I didn't hear what Maddy said, I was looking at her gorgeous hair. Don't tell Donna, she also has gorgeous Hair. Thanks for the video.

I didn't know that HK was making the P30 in that chambering. Is this a factory configuration, or did you drop a .357 Sig Barrel in a .40 S&W gun. Do they do this for the SK as well?

I have a 1st Gen H&K USP, 2 Glock 21 .45s, an now this, the P30sk, an all I can say is that H&K brand is becoming my new "fanboy" sidearm. Don't get me wrong, I love my Glocks an CZs, but as the Glock is a hammer, the H&K is a scalpel. Looking forward to my next purchases, an H&K P30L with LEM, an a Glock 43x MOS. EDC right now is my Canik Elite SC.

I have the P30sk Lt LEM with night sites, excellent carry gun. Of coarse it will eat anything, it's an H&K. But why would you put cheap ammo in a outstanding gun?

I have the v1 lem trigger that I just converted to a v4.1 with the Grayguns short reset. Night and day difference. I love how the trigger operates now. Everything is much shorter.

I had both the P30SK with the LEM and the VP9SK and ended up selling the P30SK. When shooting them side by side I just shot the VP9SK better. Both were great guns but the VP9SK had a better trigger for me.
