Out of all the lesser-known guns (gun models and brands) you have showcased, this one along with the RIA STK 100, is actually on my radar. Thanks to you, I have discovered the MC1SC, MC2C from Mossberg, all the Tisas, SARS, and Girsans. Of all my recent less popular brands or guns, my favorite is the SA XDE. Keep up the good work GB.

I have had a modest collection over the years, that has varied in size. As a small town cop for about 20 years, I carried a Glock 17 or a G26, both of which I still own (G26=EDC). I realized recently that I can't really afford to collect high-end pistols, so, I've decided to collect from among the (relatively) new spate of high-value/inexpensive guns that have come on the market! I already had an FMK C1-Gen2, that has been a surprisingly consistent and reliable shooter, for me! Since the first of the year, I've picked up a BRG9 Elite, and then, recently, a Tisas PX-9 (gen 2, I think). Each of those were promotional deals at my local "outdoors" chain, for $199.99, each! I think *THIS* may be my next addition to the team! I see them on Gun Broker for as low as $265, plus shipping, FFL fees, etc. And, I see a couple of sites with Mec-Gar CZ 75 mags for $26 - $33!

Odd balls are my fave to buy. So many cheap pistols w excellent performance nowadays. I do love HK, CZ, Glock, etc, but I'd look to a mfgr from the vast stretch of land from C Europe to W/C Asia have everyone beat in value. Arex, Canik, IWI, Girsan, Grand Power, Tisas, Tanfoglio, Sarsilmaz, and now ACSS are where you wanna look if you're looking for a good pistol at a good price...that goes for first time buyers and enthusiasts.

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Thanks, GB. I learn something new from you often. Turkey is definitely making outstanding modern handguns at great prices. I own 2 Canik METE models, a Stoeger STR-9S Combat and a Tisas PX9 Gen 3 Duty. All of them are excellent platforms, with Canik leading the way.

People turn their noses at the Turkish pistols but in my experience, they're incredibly well built and reliable. My Tristar S120 goes with me to the range 90 percent of the time and it's probably got 3000 rounds through it and is very accurate. My only fear is chasing down parts in 15 years if a break an extractor or firing pin. The trigger in my Tisas PX9 gen 1 could be a little better but like most of the pistols coming out of Turkey, it's a soldiers pistol. Probably not designed to have a light match trigger. I wish Stoeger still made the Cougar.

I am now eagerly searching for this well-made, low-budget pistol… based largely on your and Yoki’s (FL) reviews!! I have (as a general rule) stayed away from “budget firearms” because of my regrets of buying a “Jimenez Arms 9mm” (the only “firearm” I can say that I truly hate to shoot!!). Graham, when you do a Google search using the AHSS FXS9 Moniker it does not return anything favorable; however, if you search ATI HGA FXS9 in USA it returns a slew of results. Interesting enough I was able to find it from a couple of vendors delivering it with two 17 round magazines. Some of the literature I was able to dig up on it states it runs CZ-75 magazines. That may also explain why it likes Jericho magazines as it is a CZ-75 clone. The dimensions are very similar to those of the CZ P07, which leads me to wonder if it might fit a p07 holster? The only part that might be questionable is the trigger guard being more squared on the P07 whereas the FXS9 is more rounded. Both are 1.4" thickness and 4ish inch barrel lengths. I know you cannot disclose pricing and such on here but let's just say it can be had for less than the cost of a GX4 Taurus. That said, after paying a transfer fee of 25-30 bucks to your local FFL dealer and whatever your tax rate is, it is about the same cost as a Canik TP9 Elite. If it is anywhere near as reliable as the Canik it is another super value for the budget constrained EDC seeker. Thanks for sharing and I hope that more reviews of this start popping up because it would be interesting to see how this performs over a period of range sessions and much higher round counts.

When one considers that this type of gun content is already well within the realm of "niche content," one would think that those who regularly seek this information have a high degree of agency. Alas, it is not the case. On the one hand, this makes me despondent. But on the other, I know whatever is coming America's way is exactly what it deserves. Cheers
