Ah, I thought perhaps the musical pursuits written about in Giants was more than simply the author connecting his story to the popular culture of the era. The lad has a long passion for music, especially the sort that Maud played in the nightclub as she fell down the class structure after the war. Such a worthy read. Reminded me of Mr. Chute's grade-10 history class. He'd have enjoyed Follett's Century Series.

Does the interviewer keep saying 'The Pillows of the Earth'? She also says 'Fitz Hubert,' and at the end she called him 'Ken Fallett' 43:40. Quite funny! But she's charming, and thank you for a good interview.

Might have enoyed this but the audio is too faint, even on full-blast.
