This situation is NOT about tax revenue, this is not about needing money to fund 'vital' services, if it were, then why fund wars, overseas aid, overseas Net Zero, overseas agriculture, immigration etc etc... This is about wanting the land locked up by generations of family farming, they want your land to use for ideological vanity projects such as wind and solar farms and will use tax as the lever to force the sales. Corporate investors will snap this land up, use it to 'off-set' their business activities our government just so happen to invest in and then, into the future, it will be sold off for development at 10 times the price it was purchased for making them all a nice little profit which will not attract any tax as it will all be owned by foreign investors who pay not tax in the UK.
