It might not be as powerful, but it's far more forgiving. Missing a shot with the ballistic always felt horrible, but at least with this, you can quickly follow up with 2 or 3 more shots. Consistency over raw power. I'm definitely switching to the beam for the Consistency alone. Losing a round because I missed a shot and didn't kill or stagger an enemy is definitely going to happen less with the beam sniper.

So obviously the original sniper is a very strong option that allows you to basically duel any support at a long range. That being said I think this weapon actually has a lot of potential as a rapid sniping machine at its cost where flying suits are less common and it’s hard to get snipers down from advantageous positions or dive them through the front. Maps like impact site, ravine, port base, supply depot, and maybe even arctic base I can see this being a very obnoxious suit to deal with.

I just realized this rifle is basically a low cost version of Shezarr Bs special firing mode. About as useful as it too as it is.

Yeah. That thing has much better stagger ability and can break legs like it's nothing.

Less range, but better in every other way. Maybe it's not as good at killing generals but eh, you don't stuggle with raids as hard.

I kind of wished this had a little less range, but sort of like one of the beam machine guns that rapid fires when uncharged. Just so this suit could play closer to how it did in the situation battle with the machine gun. Let it be an aggressive leg breaker with the ability to stop MA a little easier up close. I want it to feel like the high-end OYE marchine like the WD version is, while still being a support. Doesn't need to be OP or even better than the regular rifle, just an option to use it in closer combat and snaller maps, with a reason to activity using the melee downswing in the combo.

I think the least that bandai can do to mke this suit a bit better thats is giving it a pretty strong vulcan (i could be wrong)

I would prefer they just released GM Sniper II (titans) from Anahein laboratory log as a different unit with the sniper beam rifle, but this is OK too.

Avenger how do you feel this stacks up to the GM sniper white dingo in terms of laser sniping? Like if one was proficient with the GM sniper white dingo, is the GM sniper 2 a good suit to pick in case the team needed a support? Or will the White dingo just be the better option to force anyway (IE the team goes without a support)?

Honestly, using the ballistic 75mm sniper rifle would be more similar to the WD. It has slightly longer cooldown but superior damage and leg damage ability. This new Sniper II beam rifle is more like a heavily downgraded prototype fedayeen rifle.
