This video is an ace match I had with the recently buffed LV3 Xamel on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 500 cost support with consistent heavy stagger ability, good ballistic damage and low downtime. Its weaknesses would be its utterly immense size which makes standard support play quite difficult with it. The enemy team in this game was basically always fighting on the other end of the map which is the type of situation where the Xamel excels. The enemy raid was also either stopped from reaching me or seemed to rather want to fight generals instead. I don't think it really could have gone any better apart from the moment where I exited my MS by mistake or when I missed some shots throughout the match. I hope that you enjoy watching!
The primary ranged weapon of the Xamel is a missile launcher with 225 power, 24 ammo, 400m range, 0.5 seconds swap, 10 seconds reload and 6% stagger value. The slow RoF makes these hard to stun with but the DPS of them is about the same as a primary weapon machine gun and they can be fired while boosting. You will usually be using your cannons for damage though so these are mostly for finishing off or for attacking while retreating.
Its primary melee weapon is its own fists with 1300 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap and standard modifiers. This has absolutely awful range like T-Rex arms on attacks other than the downswing, and even that is short range. You should never really be using this but sometimes a lucky downswing can hit for you to run away with after.
Its first sub weapon is a HE type cannon with 1600 power, 12 ammo, 650m range, 5 seconds cooldown, 10 seconds reload, 1.5 seconds swap and 70% stagger value. This has large splash radius, instant stagger and high ballistic damage. You will either be using this to stun people with or to combo with after a heavy stagger shell.
Its second sub weapon is a cluster type cannon with 1200 power, 12 ammo, 650m range, 4 seconds cooldown, 10 seconds reload, 1.5 seconds swap and 0% stagger value. This cannot stagger in any way but has incredibly huge splash radius which makes it ideal for finishing low HP enemies or as a combo ender.
Its third sub weapon is a APFSDS type cannon with 1900 power, 6 ammo, 900m range, 8 seconds cooldown, 15 seconds reload and 3 seconds swap. This is your typical combo starter and boasts high damage and heavy stagger ability. This was buffed recently to increase the hitbox of the bullet which makes it easy to use. It is essentially used the same way as the rifle on Zudah F, but with more ammo.
Its fourth sub weapon is a vulcan gun with 20 power, 30 ammo, 150m range, 450 RPM, 6 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap and 6% stagger value. This has absolutely awful damage with less than 200 DPS and has short range. It staggers at the same speed as Jeda vulcans but that is the only good point.
The Xamel has 19000 HP, 24 ballistic/beam defence and 6 melee defence. These stats are all quite high apart from the melee defence. Paradoxically though, it isn't squishy in melee because of its tank type i-frames. Tank types recover from a knockdown animation much quicker which massively reduces the amount of damage you take from melee combos.
You also have 125 hover speed, 190 boost speed, 70 thrust and 54 turn speed. This is more similar to the mobility of 600 cost supports but you won't be using it to dodge shots on account of your humongous size. It is still useful for travelling around the map and repositioning though.
Your skills are all standard for tank type MS with skills like LV1 Precision Shelling. Though instead of stun resistance when crouching, you get LV1 Shock Dampeners for perpetual instant stagger resistance. This makes it much harder to stunlock you at midrange though you are still vulnerable to build staggers due to no Damage Control skill.
Overall I think that while the Xamel is quite situational and map dependent, it can really excel in the situations where it is useful. It can basically output a steady stream of staggers and heavy staggers with little to no downtime. Its ballistic damage is also quite a threat to deal with. Of course the major issue with it is that it is gigantic, so it can easily get harrassed by long range build stagger despite its resistance to instant stun. Since the buff I would say the Xamel is still worse overall than the similar Dom Gnomides, but now has some specific aspects which are stronger. I would more readily recommend that you learn a 500 cost support which is less map dependent but if you like the artillery playstyle of lower cost tanks then the Xamel might just be for you. Thanks for watching and I hope that you enjoyed it!
