Excellent shot of t and t 026/085 there at that nice location again. Did you realise 085 had been out of traffic since its repaint almost two years ago! I caught it last Saturday on the 6E17 Liverpool Biomass to Drax double headed with 056,believe it was its first trip out! Excellent shot enjoyed cheers Nick.

Do they run electric freight locomotives in the UK? Only seem to see diesel hauled. In Australia only Queensland runs electric locomotives on narrow gauge working. Great clip.

Thank you for watching. Yes we do have electric locos that run freight train although not as much as a few years back. The class 88, class 90 are two current examples. However on this line in the video the electric overheads are for use of the local Metro trains only. Regards - Allan.

I’m fairly certain it’s down to the upgrading works on the Blyth and Tyne at the moment. Ordinarily this train would run via Seaton Delavel and Newsham through Bedlington to Lynemouth. Newsham to Bedlington is closed this week for resignalling works so it’s having to run via Morpeth necessitating a reversal at Bedlington where currently there’s no facility to run around hence the t n t formation.

@@allan5919 You’re more than welcome. I’d imagine that this scenario will continue until the section south of Bedlington is completed thereby necessitating running via Morpeth. Possibly 2-3 months unless the sidings at Bedlington are reconnected in the meantime to enable a run around but i think that’s unlikely.
