Glad to catch this discussion, he was a lovely human, always down to earth, was fortunate he visited a few times. Was very fortunate to release 2 CDs under the musicians guild lable, a puriya & kafi kanada in the first and bahaduri todi and shri in the 2nd. He then shifted to Pune and I lost most touch with him. He released 4 cassettes of his own compositions.

His real name was Shrikrishna Haldankar. Babanrao was what he was generally called.
