There are three ways to fail this mission: - Getting detected by sensors in the canyon (no cutscene in triggered, but flying too high (two warnings before failure) or too close or missing sensors during the day (one warning before failure). Flying too high: Warning #1: Wedge, we got to keep low!" (Snowspeeder) / "I'm getting too close to their sensors! I'd better fly low!" (Y-Wing) Warning #2 (Final warning): "They're going to pick us up, get down!" (Snowspeeder) / "I've got to fly lower." (Y-Wing) Failure dialogue: "The Empire knows we're here!" (Snowspeeder) / "Too high! They picked me up on their sensors!" (Y-Wing) Flying too close: Only warning: "You're flying too close to their sensors!" (Snowspeeder) / "I'm getting too close to their sensors." (Y-Wing) Failure dialogue: "They know we're here!" (Snowspeeder) / "They've picked me up on their sensors!" (Y-Wing) - The North Platform gets locked down (when the music changes to "Support for Crix Madine", the timer starts counting down before the Shuttle is locked down, if you don't steal the shuttle within four minutes, a cutscene is triggered before going to the results screen.) Timer starts counting down: "Attention, cadets, the Academy will be locked down in four minutes." (TIE Fighter) / - "They're scrambling more fighters!" - "Can't let those pilots reach their fighters!" - "Take them out while they're still on the ground!" (Snowspeeder) / "The entire base knows I'm here!" (Y-Wing) One minute passes: "Cadets, the Academy will be locked down in three minutes." (TIE Fighter) / "We'd better get to that platform before they lock down the shuttle!" (Snowspeeder) Two minutes pass: "I need to steal the shuttle before they secure the Academy!" (Y-Wing) Three minutes pass: "I got to get to that shuttle fast!" (Y-Wing) / "We'd better get to that shuttle fast!" (Snowspeeder) / "The Academy will be secured in one minute!" (TIE Fighter) After four minutes (fail cutscene): The platform with the Shuttle lowers into the base like a carbon-freezing platform (it's not known if a hatch closes or not, during the day, the camera is slightly titled up facing the shuttle from the front-right side, at night, the camera angle is straight facing the rear-left side of the shuttle) and then it cuts to your fighter flying away from the Academy (it flies past the tower in the center, camera cuts to close-up of the tower as your fighter flies past it and then three TIE fighter begin chasing you during the day, your fighter flies past the camera as three TIE fighters break off from chasing you at night) and Wedge says "They closed the North Platform! There's no way I can get to that shuttle now!" (Daytime: "Support for Crix Madine" continues playing from the gameplay, Nighttime: This music plays: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jV7CfmyJo5tsocU ) - Taking too long reaching the rendezvous point after stealing the shuttle (no cutscene is triggered and there's no failure dialogue) After stealing the shuttle: "Madine, we have the shuttle! We'll meet you at the rendezvous point!" (Normal) / - "Crix, I've got the shuttle! Mission accomplished!" - "This looks like trouble! I'm taking fire over here!" - "Hang tight! I'm on my way!" (Stolen a TIE Fighter at night) One minute passes (or after switching to the shuttle from a TIE fighter at night): "I'd better get out of here!" Two minutes pass (or one minute after switching to the shuttle from a TIE fighter at night): "Let's head home!" Three minutes pass (or two minutes after switching to the shuttle from a TIE fighter at night): "Let's get out of here!" Four minutes pass (or three minutes after switching to the shuttle from a TIE fighter at night): No dialogue before going to fail results screen, but the gameplay will simply fade out with no warning and go to the mission failed results screen.
