Google Docs: Adjusting Margins

Google Docs provides two different ways to adjust margins. You can click File and select Page setup, then use the dialog box to adjust them, or you can click and drag the margin markers on the ruler.
If you'd like to change the margins for all new documents that you create, you can to the Page setup dialog box to adjust the margins, then click "Set as default".

Great question! We had to do some digging to find the answer, and it turns out it isn't as easy as changing a setting within your doc. Instead, you'll need to change the language/country for your Google Account: Click your account picture in the top-right corner and click Manage your Google Account. From here, click the Data & Personalization tab, then scroll down and click Language. Select your language, then your country, and then click Select. Depending on the country you select, your Google Docs will then display either metric or Imperial measurements in the ruler. We hope this helps!
