In todays video we finally get round to fitting the RS clutch and flywheel kit to my Mk2 focus ST 225. This upgrade is essential if you wish to go bigger on the power at a later date.
Asbo autos are a very lovely bunch of people and helped me out yesterday with such a big job on my ford focus st.
we also got round to installing the forge recirculation valve while the car was in bits and its made a huge difference.
Carcrazies visited us as-well in there MK2 focus RS which has since had launch control mapped in.

Good work. I changed my recirculation valve on my drive. Pain in the butt but well worth it. I put a turbosmart valve in.

I get a high pitch whistle noise when the turbo starts to spool with the Ramair on. Supposed to be normal just more pronounced as the standard airbox would normally muffle the noise more. Did you not have it before you changed the recirc?

Every car i have ever owned for last 15+ years.i have removed the locking wheel nuts.they always bite you in the arse at the worst time.i have had to remove lost ones.broken ones and even the wrongs ones.if they are genuin ford ones.your local main dealer prob has a master set.and can tell you what one you have and order one for you.dont know what your home area is like but people here don't steal wheels anymore.instead they go after your catalyst. Trust me if where you live is a good area then just fit a normal wheel nut.anyway thanks for vid good as always

I have the SAME vibration issue. Changed clutch and flywheel as well as drive shafts. No change. Actually waiting to see if you figure it out! LOL

Caused more work removing the subframe. Should have just lowered it without fully removing the bolts and you have enough room to rock it back and pull the box out

It's just turbo stutter/flutter. Normal with an up-rated spring. I'm planning on blocking my recirc to get flutter all the time.

# normal? The uprated spring is the choice for higher boost only, if ur running standard boost then the spring must be chosen to suit. Flutter is not good and proves spent boost is being forced back into the turbo the wrong way against the turbine fan? Not only does this slow the car but is detrimental to the life of the turbo....

@@leekemp1180 I've had many a debate and done a lot of research about turbo flutter. The boost levels from an ST are tiny. 1 bar back pressure will not effect the turbo in any meaningful way. It also barely slows the turbo compared to dumping or re-circulation. Rally cars often produce excessive turbo flutter at much higher boost.

If they are like mine, it's nearly impossible to get inside. Even placing them in the oven doesn't work.

I used a heat gun on mine. Worked a treat
