I may try the "ghost rack" scenario! Thanks Brent. I love Gibraltar and all the options I have with your equipment! ✌❤

That ghost rack is slick... Love all your vids Brett, kudos to you for knowing all the model numbers too!

Just ordered the new version (GCS-400C) 🤓👍 I guess this new one should also be sent with the cymbal boom arms as the old model.

Great video - it would be great to see the kit played to simply assess the level of stability with this hardware setup. I am expecting everything to be pretty much locked down but it would be excellent just to see it in practice

Like the stealth bar, perhaps you need offer a “ghost bar”. Not a v nor curved but rather like 2 33” v’s end to end. That would be the rack even closer to the bass

ghost rack is cool!

Hey Gibraltar! It is nice to see that you're always innovating with these kind of products. My question is the following. I'm thinking on buying this exact same model for accomodating my Premier drumset, which has a 10', 12', 13' and a 16' floor tom. I also have 5 cymbals that I'm gonna mount (3 crashes, ride and china). Will these fit in the rack only with the provided parts? Or will I have to buy more accesories? Looking forward to build my first rack. Greetings from Chile!

just bought this and set it up with a 10 12 13 on the 40" curved bar and when playing it wants to tip over.

I'm looking simplify my setup time dramatically. If I had the same setup as in the first of this video(with the legless hi-hat and snare add-ons), and kept it setup in a trailer, could I carry it by myself, if needed? I'd prolly fold the 2 wings inward, but keep everything else the same.
@GibraltarHardware4 жыл бұрын
Mitch Trotter you could keep it set up, but may need to make small adjustments after moving if keeping all the drums and hardware attached.

Would the "curved T" setup work as part of a stealth rack? Say I wanted 2 offset toms + 2 cymbal booms attached to the horizontal bar a la Danny Carey, would such a setup be stable? EDIT: Nevermind, think I figured out an alternative. Seems a GSVMS, SC-APM & SC-SPAN will do the trick!

I'm thinking of getting this, but im not sure it'll work. I'd like to put a roland SPDSX on the left wing (maybe with an extension), two crashes on the main rack legs, with two toms and two splashes on the front cross bar. I'd also have a 20 ride and a 17 china on the right wing. Would this rack be able to hold all of that or am I better off with two stealth racks? Could I even replace the 24inch wings with 36 inch curved bars, without the need for extra legs? I don't want to get a 3 sided rack because of the larger footprint that the extra legs create. I often have to fit all this on teeny risers or into smaller spaces.

That ghost rack is super cool! Would that be stable with offset toms (12 and 13 in) mounted to the hihat side rack leg? Been wanting to go to a rack but not seeing much info on how well they work with offset toms. Awesome video, thanks!

niceyoungfellow as long as you had enough weight on the opposing side to counterbalance, you will be fine. However, I’m concerned you will have issues with placement of the 12” tom (to the left) with the vertical bar being there. If this configuration does not work, have a look at some of our side rack systems. This will allow you to offset your toms easily
@isihernandez97525 жыл бұрын
Suggestion: any stealth side rack will easily work for that. Add a double tom holder to the leg and voilà. You can use the rest of the rack for whatever you need. I say stealth because its legs are shorter, with a longer leg toms may be too high, but you can customize any rack to your needs anyway. Years ago I used a common 3 side rack and I also mounted offset toms. Today I use stands (still offset), but if I used racks again, I would only consider Gibraltar's 2 curved stealth side racks.

@gibraltarDIY Would this rack cope with 12/13/14 rack toms along the front bar plus 2 crashes on the left wing, one on the leg, and three cymbals on the right wing with another on the leg? (obviously with the extra clamps as required :-))
@GibraltarHardware4 жыл бұрын
D8RAIDER 12”, 13”, and 14” rack toms will not fit along the cross bar of this rack. The cross bar is only 40”, and the sum of all the diameters is 39”. You have to allow for the clamps to grab onto each end of the bar as well. You might be able to pull it off with a 46” cross bar, but you naught jot get your rack toms placed exactly where you want them.

@@GibraltarHardware Thanks for the reply and understood - would the side wings support the cymbals though without legs if the front tube was long enough? Cheers
@GibraltarHardware4 жыл бұрын
Depending on the size, yes. Ask long as all your cymbals aren’t 22” ride cymbals, it should work😀
