Good Q&A. I think 🤔 the role of the bile is ALSO to neutralise the acid content as the Enzymes in the intestine work better at a slightly alkaline level for lipase to work on. You only mentioned the emulsion aspect of bile.

The test for startch,sugars proteins etc are hard to memorise is it fine if I don’t learn them but learn the rest?

They can come up as 2-3 mark questions in the exams so I would recommend you learn them

I wouldn't risk it it could easily be a 6 marker and its an easy 6 marks once youve learned it

benedicts and biuret have b, so theyre blue. just imagine the food test practicals u did in lesson. the egg (protein) turns purple, and the milk lilac. heating the benedicts in the water bathmakes it orange or brick red, and iodine added to rice turns black. If u add cheese to ethanol, and then add water. shake it and it will emulsify well. idk but when i did this, watching and imagining the tests really helped mate.
