14 people did not like it and 225 did, that's about the ratio of deniers to acceptors. Some are just slower than others and some will deny forever more because they are afraid to accept reality.

If there were no greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, would the surface temperature be dependent in any way on the thickness of the atmosphere? It seems to me that as gravity has redistributed the gas so that it is more dense near the surface and there must be a temperature gradient between the surface and Space and that as a result the thickness of the atmosphere will affect the surface temperature even if the Sun's energy does not change. On Venus the Sun's energy does not reach the surface. How do greenhouse gases work there?

I hear you haha. There’s a lot of fascinating work being done by great people around the world, trying to work out how we might alleviate some of suffering and damage cause by climate change. If you feel inspired to, we encourage you to start watching videos/reading about potential solutions! It’s an amazing (and hugely important) area!

Do you have any idea how many people ask this? But here we go ... Just because there is something that is used at GCSE Level doesn't mean you have to learn it during GCSE years. E.g. adding is used in GCSE Maths, but you don't learn it in Y9/10/11 now, do you?

NO They water vapours and CH4 and Co2 are the gasses in the atmosphere that absorb the heat and re-emit it it in all directions including space, the earth (therefore the earth and sea get warmed) and to other molecules like the ones I have stated.
